I watched your video that you posted a year ago when you went through a world of pain (I felt it too) when you could not re-install MSFS2020. You obviously are still posting videos to date so could you tell me how you eventually got it sorted out. Or have I missed a video or something explaining it. Thanks and thanks for all your videos.
Hi Bob, thanks for the comment. The answer to your question is in the original threads for that video but I appreciate that it has lots of comments and you have to dig deep to find answers. In essence, Microsoft screwed up my cloud data at their end, we have no control over it. They spent months getting me to undertake hundreds of fixes, none of which worked. Microsoft took control of my PC and they still could not get the sim to launch and passed me over to Xbox who also took control of my computer and encountered the same issue. Both companies performed a clean install of Windows 11 (I had already done this) but still nothing. Eventually they told me that my cloud data was corrupt so after jumping thru all their hoops for months I ended up having to re purchase the sim and set up with a new gamertag, start again in other words. I lost all of my marketplace purchases as Microsoft said that they were unable to transfer them to my new account, which, really annoyed me to be honest as I could not see why that was the case? So I'm now over £1000.00 out of pocket on this sim, yes it now works but still has many bugs that THEY have not resolved since SU5 back in 2021. I will not be re purchasing if it goes tits up again. The biggest frustration aside from cost is that THEY always blame the user for bugs and failures, never themselves, I spent weeks and weeks trying fixes that their SO CALLED EXPERTS said would work and they did not. In the end it was THEY who were at fault but I've still paid the price.....LITERALLY !! Stay well and happy flying with this far from perfect simulator.
@@golfsierrahotel4806 Oh God, I can't believe this happened to you, what a nightmare you have endured you must have been sick to the stomach! All that time and money wasted for something not your fault. I recently purchased MSFS2020 from Steam after building a new computer with Win11, I don't know if that was the best decision, I spent a good time making my mind up! So far everything is going OK fingers crossed! Again I am so sorry for you and wish you all the best and happier flying!
