Well done Kirsty, that was such a clear and detailed tutorial, covering every step and things that can go wrong such as the tight stitches on colour changes, you are a very inspirational creator and tutor and I look forward to seeing more of them. Your creative talents are awesome, your design ideas for colourwork and patterns really blows my mind. Thanks so much for sharing your hard work and ideas. Love the whole Wool & Wishes podcast, you and Tracey are a great team. I'm stash diving now to begin your Tunisian blanket😊😊
Thank you so much Kirsty for this clear instruction. Such a fabulous first tutorial. You did a great Job. I was so inspired with your blanket last week that i have to start on the same Day. Thank you again for all the time and work that you give us. I will show pictures on insta and Sendung hughs and greetings from Germany, Maria
Thank you so much Kirsty! I would not believe this is your 1st tutorial. You are a great and patient instructor - explaining everything very well and making sure to include lots of detail for beginners. I absolutely fell in love with this when I saw it on your recent podcast and I'm so appreciative for this inspiring tutorial. Again, amazing job and thank you so much for sharing your designs with us! I would like to see a tutorial on how you pick designs from the book of patterns you have to create stunning cowls - the ones with the abstract or animals on them! Hugs from Texas!!
Really enjoyed that Kirsty. I have done Tunisian crochet before but it was quite awhile ago. This was a good reminder of how it works. Love the blanket idea too. Thank you so much❤
Thank you for doing this tutorial. It has been years since I used my Tunisian hooks. This was a great refresher. The color changes are such a great idea.
Kirsty, thank you so much for making this tutorial for us. I can't wait to get started. You did a great job😁. Your blanket is coming along so beautifully, I love it. Take care
Kirsty, what a great tutorial! Thank you so much for taking your time to share your idea with us all. I have never tried Tunisian crochet, but after watching this I know I could do it. Can’t wait to give it a try. ❤
Lovely clear tutorial Kirsty. Thank you very much. You would never know this was your first tutorial and I might give this a go sometime. A wonderful way to use up wool scraps to make such an eye catching blanket!
I LOVE this blanket! I'm going to finish my Sweet Shop blanket and then start on this one. :) Thank you for the inspiration! You did an amazing job teaching this! xoxo
Thank you so much for doing a Tutorial! You did a fab job at it girl 👍 I have always wanted to try Tunisian & when I saw your blanket design that looked like the Jelly Roll quilts, etc I just knew I had to give it a go! ❤ Susannah in Perth, Australia 🦘
I just started to learn crochet recently and when I saw your blanket I thought that would be fun to make, but I need to practice more. I do need to practice, but your tutorial makes it seem less difficult than I thought Kirsty. It seems very possible to do this sooner 😀. So thank you very much for the guidance and instruction.
It was wonderful. I took notes. I really appreciated the time you took to do this. I watched your last podcast while playing some cormo today. Maybe a tutorial as to how you crochet around your stones for your necklaces. This last one was really nicely done.
I’ve never tried Tunisian crochet before. When you pulled out the first rectangle on your last podcast I thought it was cute but when you pulled out the sewn together row of rectangles I was floored. So I’ve watched this video and given it a try already and it think this is my new long term blanket project. ❤ Perfect timing, I recently finished a blanket and was looking for a new one!
@@woolandwishesjust finished my first rectangle and love it. I hope you’ll put the pattern up on Ravelry eventually (with a link to this tutorial) so I can add it to my project page. ❤
Dear Kirsty, thank you for such clear instructions and demonstration on how to make your beautiful design, the Tunisian Crochet Bricks Blanket. Inspiring ♥♥♥
Thank you so much Kirsty for taking the time to do this excellent tutorial. I have been dreaming about having a go at this ever since I saw your instagram photo. I was scrolling through Ravelry and trying to work out how to do it but now I can just give it a go! I love Tunisian crochet and have made a few things but the texture of the material is always so dense. I think I need to use a bigger hook in future to make a drapier fabric. I might start off with a few coasters with your method and see how I go. Very best wishes xx
Thank you Kirsty. I have tried Tunisian crochet and always got confused with that last stitch. This really helps now that I know to go through the post and the back loop. Great job explaining. ❤
Thank you!!! I will do this with a 5 mm hook and sockyarn called mellanraggi (järbo) it is thicker than 4ply and have a lot of diferent colours. So fun! I start my vacation now as well....
❤ This is fantastic, both the pattern and the tutorial! You've done well, Kristy! I am afraid Woolwarehouse will be overrun with orders for that yarn! Ask them for your cut! 😅 #woolwarehouseuk
Thank you Kirsty you are a natural tutor. When you showed your individual strips I thought interesting but when you showed your joined strips I just thought wow beautiful and what I great way of using up sock left overs. I have never tried this type of crocheting but will certainly be having a go. Thank you for sharing.
Great tutorial, thanks so much. I can't wait to give this a go. I generally steer clear of colour changing/self-striping yarn as find it a bit more hit-and-miss as to whether I like how it comes out in crochet projects. But this design is a definite hit, so looks like I get to go yarn shopping to stock up on those yarns I've previously avoided! Woohoo! Question is, do I have the self control to wait for Drops Fabel to go on sale Wool Warehouse...?!
An excellent tutorial! Thanks Kristy.
Thanks so much Lorraine! 😁💕
Thank you very much for sharing! It is always a pleasure seeing what you create. You are an inspiration!
Thank you Alison! 😁💕

Oh and one question: when you say you worked 50 rows is each forward and backward row one row or are the two of them together one row! Thanks!
Hi Viki, the foward and backwards counts as 1 row, so you're changing colour halfway through the row 😊
