Just watched the first two episodes and I'm obsessed because she's the best thing in the show. The way she delivers each line is very very very very very capturing. I really wish we'll see her in more period dramas.
She is, to me, a very cerebral actress. By that, I mean that she brings each character with much intelligence to the screen. She is one of the best actresses of our era. I really love watching her act.
I am so glad Ms Morton was cast in this role. Her amazing visage is so intelligent and perfect for Catherine de Medici who has long been one of my heroes. She single handedly brought the Renaissance to Europe, created French cooking and art among many other things. If she had been a man she would have been remembered for the genius she was.
My intro to this woman was her role on the Walking Dead. She terrifies me but so intriguing that I'm stoked to see her in this role. Which is amazing. Fun. Well done.
Her character in Sweet and Lowdown is still among my favs. Crushing on celebrities is utterly ridiculous, but dang if she didn't get the better of me after that.
