His motivation is the fight itself, the experience of being challenged and overcoming it and seeing what others are capable of.
He has a whole philosophy around battle and appreciating how everyone approaches it. It may not be for some future goal but while it seems hedonistic, it could also be seen as taking from Buddhism too. That philosophy also focuses on appreciating the present moment and letting go of future expectations and desires.
And Gege loves adding Buddhist symbology around the characters so it’s not really surprising. I think that can be a strong motivation if you have that mindset developed.

I believe the way they ended Gojo was not consistent from needing 4 arms and 2 mouths now and didn't need them while he was not using his original form against Gojo. Atleast be consistent. That's why I think they need to atleast explain Gojo death between the last hollow purple and Gojo halved, this just shows that Gojo was truly strong that even the author cant show those panels as Gojo was that strong he had to offscreened him without giving explanation why he didn't dodged those attack. Now everyone just swallows what gege says (Gojo saying he wouldnt think he would be able to defeat sukuna without 10 shadows. And blindly ignoring the literal fact he needed mahoraga as blue to study world cutting slash.)without even the things adding up. But that's just my opinion on this topic. At this point i am still excited for future chapter but sometimes give closure to things which are necessary like he explained how kenjaku gave his will to sukuna of the merger. I don't think Yuta and Yuji are dead (cause if they were, by god, what a way to tank a series towards the end). However, I do think Yuta is out for the count. His RCT might do enough to save himself from the worst of the damage, along with Shoko doing her thing -- but story wise, I think he's served his purpose. Yuji on the other hand? He'll keep himself in the fight. The man can tank some truly absurd attacks and keep moving, and while World Cutting Slash might be enough to push him towards the sidelines for a hot minute, I can see him coming back with a vengeance.

I liked the symbolism Gege used relating the brokenness of Megumi's spirit to the breaking of Yuta's domain. Gege is telling us that everything in their plan hinged on Megumi, and it all fell apart.

It was not made clear if Yuta/Rika ate the finger. I personally believe Yuji did. It is literally his job as the main character. If Yuta could do that, that means Gojo and the Jujutsu Heads could have ordered Yuta to collect the Sukuna fingers.... Which makes no sense. Yuji is the ONLY one able to consume Sukuna's fingers with no afteraffects.
I think since Yuji is soaked in Sukuna's CE, Yuta was able to use Yuji's flesh instead. I believe the condition is for Rika to consume the target's CE through flesh.

I figured Maki was the last resort. And we've been told that the soul-split katana ignores durability, but we also know Sukuna has an incredibly strong soul, and he may even be able to strengthen it.

Imagine if Hakari pulls up and opens his Domain while Yuji and Yuta are on the ground bleeding, the reset of a failed spin should in theory also reset the state of Hakari and the other sorcerer until Kin' hits a jackpot?
If that's the case, this might be a way for Yuji and Yuta to come back and then heal themselves after.
Other possibility; Ui-Ui and Kirara pick Yuji and Yuta up to Shoko while Maki, Ino and Kusakabe fight Sukuna. In that meantime, Shoko heals them up enough so that can use RCT on themselves more effectively.
Or, last one; Yuta fully manifest Rika, action that will refill and swell up his Cursed Energy reserves and will help him use RCT even if bisected. Yuji should be able to heal himself since Sukuna's attack are a bit less effective on him

I'm sure that'll be a possibility. Yuki's notes should not just be about what we have read so far when the book was mentioned several chapters ago. That book of notes is quite the read so there should be more information about souls and the like in there that can do just that. Much love and respect.

Angel's CT nullifies all CT but for some reason sukuna is still able to use his space slash after being hit by Jacobs ladder. I don't know if it's lazy writing or gege just simply forgot.
Or maybe you should read it again.....Yuta stopped Jacobs Ladder so Yuji could punch Sukuna and wake up Megumi.....that's when we see Sukuna use Space Cut when Megumi refuses.

I think Yujis actual CT is his ability to infuse his punches. He can do double hit, black flash, and soul seizing. Not sure if it counts as a CT tho

Yuji created soul seizing punches because he needed a way to get his friends soul back. Whatever the case Yuji can seemingly create a punch for it.
the ce output would most likely only affect the size of the slash or the number of slashes
and so far no special technicality been stated that prevents RCT from working, my guess is that gojo was simply knocked out by the slash and therefore couldnt RCT
after all that slash was the most damage he ever sustained in the fight, the domain slashes were more numerous but they did more shallow cuts , nothin ever went trough his entire body
if yuta is awake and able to rct, or yuji can rct on others and he is alive(reminder yuji has a special body, he was completly fine and no drawbacks from having several holes done into his chest by mahito, so lungs were most likely pierced and he was still just perfectly fine and in fighting shape) he could heal yuta
or yuta makes a binding vow to completly use the 5mins of rika in a single minute so he gets 5mins of "boundless" ce into one minute maybe replicating hakari's jackpot state
its also ui ui is around to teleport them to shoko and maybe the other dude with a CT that makes it so wounds dont get worse

Output- higher it is,stronger u are cuz u are using a higher % of your Ce total. Proven by ryu.
Higher your Ce output= more Ce u have to supply to brain to convert into RCT& lower your Ce output less CE you have to output to your brain.
3 factors affect rct output: Ce total,ce output and brain damage.
Sukuna brain was damage so he produce less RCT even with half his CE total left while 3f sukuna with far less CE heal yuji arm instantly.
