i could have watched four hours of this stuff. Mick and keith reminiscing over old photos. Just so fascinating to watch.
That's what 1 of my comments to this video was
They've grown before our eyes / history's eyes into regal, respectable gentlemen who have willed the spirit of old , Southern bluesmen + hardcore british-wave pop stardom wave-ride all the way to the beach , as it were. They are even more appealing in their well earned social grace & status on display here.
You make it for this long in a band context & you are on elite, solo ground.
No others . So ,so glad their genetic-stock was sturdy & their patience w/ each other has predominated the inevitable rows mates like this will go thru.
The greatest Rock & Rollmen on Earth.
God bless both( but especially Keith! ) of them.
I’m sitting very quiet and still after watching this. Wish it were longer. The Stones have played a big role in my life since early 1964. A long, freakin time, indeed.
God help me.

Keith says "the key man..." looking at Charlie with such respect...a very moving moment.
AND CHARLIE WAS , IS , AND ALWAYS WILL BE , THE ROLLING STONES KEY MAN , FOR EVER AND EVER AMEN !!!!!!!
JC210988 yes
@americanbeauty dallas How come?
@americanbeauty dallas It sucks that they avoid talking about him at all costs. He deserves respect. He was not really a great person (from what I'vd heard) but he was a musical genius and made the stones what they are and deserves to be recognized as such.
A great friend to Mick as well as band member.
Omg... When Mick was like "There's Yoko. In her witching hat." I DIED
Tbh shes on it
Yeah 😊

I'll mention Brian Jones. He Was very nice to me and my best friend when we asked him if we could have our photo taken with him at Essendon Airport in Melbourne, which was a like a Tin shed departure lounge at the time circa . 1966. A beautiful looking guy with perfect hair which made him look like a cherid.
@Cheryl Burford-Smith
I don't believe any thing that is written that Brian was a horrible being. I believe he was quite the opposite: personable!
@@petrslivinski7481 brian was wonderful and very talented. The others are so ungrateful, poor bri.
@@petrslivinski7481 george harrison described him as nice when they met and they became friends at that time
@@setro5582
Definitely! However, George Harrison also said that Brian never received the love and nurturing needed from his parents: they were incredibly stern with no room for movement. I believe that is why he found love with all those girls. Also, John Lennon had met him and found Brian to be pleasant but mixed up because he never received the nurturing he needed from his parents.
@@petrslivinski7481 where do you know all that?🙂
Keith refreshes his memory from the exhibition. Mick knows it all.
You can say it Mick ---- BRIAN JONES!!!!
L0r3n2 Exactly. When Mick was pointing out people in the Rock n Roll Circus he never pointed out Brian.
Revolver As much as I love Mick and Keith as musicians, they would n't be shit if not for Jones. Jealousy over Brian. Always has been, always will be.
Hahaha hahaha
Mick's a Leo, Brian was Piscean. I guess the cat ate his fish. Thanks enjoyed that.
Bonnie Magpie, can be seen this way since the guy was probably a weak person, otherwise a Piscean can also flood a Leo.. Mick was strong that's his luck.. but yes, what a sad story between those guys and bad the way they behaved with him!! they probably killed him at last.. this is the gloomy side of this dazzling band..
I feel honored to have grown with them and seen them in concert 13 or 14 times. What a life’s work, all the greatest rock songs, live shows around the world showing everyone else how it’s done...... brilliant!
I grew up with The Stones, they were with me every step of my journey from when I was 6 in 1964.....every step! x
+terri julians Me too i was 16 in 1966 they're boys and keef " IS me boy!" Been there (here still the same!)
DogNose Studios are you angie
Greatest Rock N' Roll Band of all-time and these guys are absolute treasures....great video
1:47, hard not to get moved at this point, RIP Charlie
What a trip down memory lane with the Stones. 💜🌹🍄😻🔥🌟🌞🍀🧡🧝♀️💛💚😇💜🌹🍄😻🔥🌟🥑🌞🍀🧡🧝♀️💛💚😇💜🌹🍄😻🔥🌟🥑🌞🍀🧡🧝♀️💛💚😇
Other bands have come and gone, but this band is like the 'Old Faithful' of Rock 'n Roll; never get tired of watching it go off. It will be a sad, lonely day when they cease to exist.
bands come & go but there will always be The Rolling Stones - The Greatest Rock 'N' Roll band in the world!!!! Love them all so very very much, 'Keep On Rolling Boys'
This is the kind of thing that makes me cry. I love them so much.
We are posting a video with Ronnie and Charlie later today.
Brian Jones
😍🤗👍👍👍💖💖💖The best of the 20th century. Our Era. Beautiful for the history of music.🎸🥁🎤🎶🎸
What a amazing life! Thanks for all the years of great music!
Interesting they avoid mentioning Brian when he's on a picture...
Unfortunately, they always hated poor Brian (:
Because people know who he is, they didn’t need to mention him.
Mustache 577 They're jealous of Brian's musicianship. It's obvious.
Revolver Brian did not do shit for the band he even was making it worst.
Mustache 577 Brian was a better musician than Mick or Keith ever were.
The Stones have outlasted every other band from the 1960's...the Beatles, the Animals, Dave Clark Five, the Who, Led Zeppelin and dozens of other bands. In one of his first American interviews Mick Jagger thought he'd be performing "for a couple more years". RIP Brian and thank you, without you there would be no Rolling Stones.
Superb exhibition! Rolling Stones such an iconic band.
🎩
Thank you the Rolling Stones
Thanks Mick and Keith,us fans love hearing your thoughts.
Couldnt Imagine my Life without The Stones or there Music .
Love these Guys ;)
"The key-man" - that was Charlie.
Yeah, they said everybody had to wait around in the studio for Keith to perfect the riff, which could take days. Then, when he finally got it, he'd look at Charlie, and Charlie'd wait for the perfect time to enter, and Bang, Pop, Crack! and they're off to the races.
+Richie B u
The engine of the Stones.
Mick wants to be Keith and everybody wants to be Charlie
Keith has said without Charlie, there is no Stones.
Awesome! Wow, walking through a museum looking back at your life!
Great to see and hear them both looking so well healthy n lucid.
Fav. photo Rock n Roll Circus
Waiting 4 them 2 bring out a New Album as diverse n original as late 60's 70s sure they still have it in them cmon Keith !!!!!
50 years. Gentlemen, thank you. Thank you very, very much.
That’s lots of fun please do more like it! I say that out of love and appreciation.
I have always and will always love these guys! Thank you Mick, Keith, Charlie and Ronnie (& Bill) for 50 wonderful years!
& Brian for the 60's years
And Brian
Mick Taylor????
~Greatest band ever, love you beautiful gentleman, mick your energy is very beautiful ,the greatest ,sexiest, classiest, most energized front man ever!!!much love and respect to u bad~boys!!!.;)
absolutely fabulous!!! love Keith and the whole tour, with the missing jacket mystery, yet I have to say, my favorite part of this video is watching Sir Mick speak👌
Wonderful way the film was directed, (getting the responses from Mick and Keith - and not interfering, nicely edited and produced piece.
Keith missing all his old coats 🤣👌🏼
I love seeing stuff like this. Its really neat to see how the Stones look at pictures of themselves and see how that compares to how we look at those pictures. It's like showing an old family member a picture from their younger years.
The photography is incredible!
WOW!!! That was great. It was so neat to see the Stones talk about about the pictures we've loved looking at and getting their reactions to it. It was neat to be able to reflect with Mick and Keith just for those three minutes. More! More!
Amazing that such legendary people...worshipped and adored by millions...can be so boring.
Apart from Brian Jones, They also didn't mention about Mick Taylor who was quite good guitarist. Maybe that's because there isn't any photo of him with them...
The Story of the Greatest Rock and Roll band
momentos to be treasured - these guys can be soooo nice, can't they?
The Rolling Stones have been a band for over 50 years. Ever wonder how much they possibly hate each other? But they still work together.
Journey through the memories .Into the history of rock.
Several pictures with Brian Jones partially cut out.
Love this! So interesting! The high Super Bowl photo was my fave!
Such a fascinating watch
You could make a 4 hour movie of the 2 of them going over photos and it still wouldn't be long enough..
Very enjoyable and touching, too. 50 years! God! Where have the years gone? I recall seeing them on The Hollywood Palace and thinking that the universe had shifted just a bit at that moment. Been a fan ever since.
Mick goes through everyone in that RnR Circus pic and no mention of Brian Jones. Weird.
He also didnt mention Keef and Charlie. He probably must hate them too
@@DarkSali He must hate Keith Moon as well
@@DarkSali He mentioned Charlie running away from crazy fans. Bill too.
@@zizzinpuss He pointed out Keith Moon - and two unknown clowns.
They were so young then; jealousy ran rampant!! Anybody who plays guitar knows Brian's tones blew Keith away! Brian's harp (harmonica) playing chewed Mick's as well
Legends die hard or the hatred never subsides towards brian; does it?
Here's hoping Brian is laughing at them saying "old bastards; you look like hell"!
Such a bitterness, wow...
The pic where Mick says our first trip to New York the Aston Hotel - there is also a pic taken there that shows a young Steven Tyler smiling over Micks shoulder.
I could watch that over and over again .... Thanks for sharing - it's great.
it's almost as if they virtually ignore brian jones being in the pictures ;(
americanbeauty dallas Keith look only at his own picture so selfish

Egotistical.
Even though I know that Brian could be absolutely awful to everybody around him, I wish they could have acknowledged him at least once...

When you were playing åt East Grinstead Townhall in the early - 60's I was there. Ni photograf though.
Great!
Mick can't bring himself to mention Brian when looking at the R&R Circus photo.
+John Barry Hear, hear. For their part I'm sure that Mick and Keith both will resent Brian's memory forever. Apparently Brian was such a nightmare to deal with that they're both scarred, and I also suspect a bit of guilt for having unintentionally left Brian in the dust. It was something that they never wanted to happen, but to be fair, Brian was utterly unbearable in more ways than one and even Bill and Charlie agree, although Charlie felt sorry for Brian, but Brian was beyond hopeless. It's hard to feel sorry for someone who was reputedly as mean-spirited and selfish as Brian.
Got frozen out early by the band, ganged-up on and bullied; kind of thing makes you more selfish anyway.
Wrong. Brian was the most selfish, nasty, mean, vain, insecure, manipulative, irresponsible, self-destructive prick imaginable, impossible to get along with. To a man, Mick, Keith, Bill and Charlie all attest to this fact although Charlie also pitied him. His life was a complete train wreck but his life did end as the result of a murderous act that was never brought to trial. He died in that swimming pool by being intentionally drowned by a person who was unwilling to put up with him and not as the result of drug use. If he wasn't fired from the band, there would never have been a Rolling Stones band post-1969. His demise was sad but at the same time he's not missed by the band, and it's hard to relate this others who never had to deal with Brian. They'd like to be able to forget him because his memory serves no real purpose although Bill reported that his memories of Brian were happy in the very early days before Brian changed and became a very bad person. As Keith noted, he never wished Brian dead but now that he's gone it's a welcome relief. Mick noted that fame doesn't sit well on some people's shoulders, and that was Brian totally. It's a shame that things didn't turn out differently, but the introduction of Mick Taylor to The Stones set the stage for the band's early-70's career zenith.
DDEENY Mick and Keith tell all the worst parts about him, but forget to mention how after they learned Brian was paying himself an extra five pounds in the early days (considering the hundreds of millions Mick and Keith have made since joining his band, pretty paltry), they did petty things like take off in the tour bus without him, bully him, make him play the harmonica at a session till his mouth bled without even turning on his mic, not give him credit on a song he wrote the melody for (Ruby Tuesday), and generally conspire with Oldham to get rid of him. Some of his behavior was inexcusable, much of it was just reacting to being frozen out of his own band, as Mick and Keith soaked up his charisma and in Keith's case his woman and drug-decadent image. Read Paul Trynka's groundbreaking 2014 book on Brian (he did hundreds of fresh interviews with Stones friends, promoters, engineers, etc) to get the full story about him, not just the official 'he was an asshole that wasted himself' version that Mick and Keith always lazily hand out.
I made the point that the other 4 original Stones all attested that Brian was a bad person. "One witness is not enough to convict anyone accused of any crime or offense they may have committed. A matter must be established by the testimony of two or three witnesses." (Deuteronomy 19:15) The point is that one can be wrong but not all witnesses can be wrong. For their part, Mick, Keith, Bill and Charlie were all there, and you and I weren't. The fact is that Brian was utterly unbearable. I can relate to this because I've known people that are the exact same personality type. I read the story where early on Brian went into a London record store and another customer had special-ordered American blues records (a coveted item at the time) that were waiting to be picked up, and Brian DEMANDED that the clerk give the records to him instead for the fact that he was in a band and deserved to have them. That about sums his personality up. Obnoxious. It's clear that Mick and Keith did come to resent Brian but that was only after Brian changed once the band came to a measure of pop success. Before that it was Keith and Brian who were tight together and chastised Mick for his effeminate mannerisms onstage. (Ian Stewart also used to get pissed off at Brian for playing "Popeye The Sailor Man" tune on guitar during shows where the audience was so loud that the band could barely hear themselves playing onstage.)
Brian's odd musical contributions to the band were unique and indispensable and kept The Stones from becoming just another 60's British Invasion blues-based pop band. But beyond that his musical talent was sorely limited and once Mick and Keith songwriting skills and partnership developed, he couldn't accept that he wasn't so much a leader anymore but just another pedestrian guitarist in a successful band. But not surprisingly, those moments when his ego was able to be put aside and he gelled with the band rather than trying to fly above it proved to be both his and the band's finest moments.
Love this. Love them all.
Thumbs up if your praying for a reunion with Bill Wyman and perhaps even Mick Taylor
No mention of Mick Taylor anywhere - like he never existed.
Enamorada de Los Rolling Stone, Los Amo sobretodo a MICK JAGER el es mi todo !
Yes I am fully aware of the entire Stones Story. But as I said the Show must go on.
Neither of us were there so how would we know what fully went on. Brian was a brilliant musician. It is very sad what happened to him.
wonderfull memories for them !! keep on rockin '
Nothing wrong w Mick or Keefers memories! I think this is fab celebrating the anniversary in this way.....So cool.
Shows age is irrelevant in recalling great memories!!
Cheers,guys! It's only rock n roll,but I like it!
their memory of Brian seems to have been forgotten
I could watch Mick forever. :-)
Notice they are avoiding any pic or reference to Brian Jones....
Lovely !
The lives these men have led. Man, they have seen it.
Congratulations on 50 years! and cheers for being such a sweet inspiration;)
1:37 Mick: "A Ghost in my ritgth WTFUCK?" XD
Memories mate!!!!
I Love You Mick!!!!!!!!!!!!
Great, rock and roll!
All we get is the smiles when Keith is reminded of Wembley
Why people think so low of Brian Jones? Maybe he's done shit to those guys - which we will never know - but without him, there wouldn't be The Rolling Stones...
+Lolita. Nonsense. Mick and Keith would have formed a band without him. Brian got heavier into drugs and got to the point where he no longer contributed in the studio. He just sat in the corner nodding off. Brian was a nasty little piece of work. He physically abused his women. Just ask Anita Pallenberg.
+The Artful Dodger Yeah, not to mention that touring was out of the question while Brian was in the band. While Brian obviously added a lot to the band in the early days, the recorded output during the Mick Taylor years was the best, the absolute BEST run of any band in rock history. Best songs, best shows, the BEST!
Actually Brian was the most talented musician the band ever had and he led the way in style, drugs, women and music...he deserves a lot of credit and I see way too many people on here reiterate the old tired cliches like he got messed up on drugs...he was an arse, he beat Anita etc there a lot more about Brian and he couldn't four because of drug conviction issues so they fired him...he was going to form a new band and had been talking to Hendrix and others and he was murdered which the people and press were totally oblivious to and as usual think whatever is convenient for them to think...Brian Jones RIP
+Rick Jones Maybe there's a lot of truth in what you say, but how do you know, how does anyone know what really happened. Brian's not around to give his side, obviously. Looks-wise, he wasn't doing too well towards the end, I mean, you can see it in his face. Just very hard to know the truth.
+Richie B Seriously? Without Brian's input, their songs would have been the songs of just another 60's pop band.
Wonderful video... love it.👍
Keith got the nicest fake teeth ever seen.
kmlgraph Old Keef's a strange man.

Fake teeth are everywhere!!
Well look at pictures of Keith 1973-75.His teeth were falling out left and right. Drugs...
Better to see real Keith with fake teeth than vice versa. Saw the latter once in Moscow pub seducing chicks.
ohhh man thanks!! that was so kool, Love Brian Jones
It's sad they couldn't say a few kind words about Brian.
Brian Jones
The Founder & Leader of The Rolling Stones!
Founder yes. More credit should (publicly) be given to him for that. And other stuff too. McCartney called Brian, ''Smashing.'' He was cool. To a point. Leader in the early days yes. And then … I think you know the rest. A controversial rock star to say the least. RIP.
Brian Jones the man who gave Jagger / Richards so much yet they fail to say his name !
Brian was a waster .
Good point. Mick mentions Bill (Wyman) once at least.
Beautiful portraits...
yeah i noticed to Mick did not mention Brian Jones at all, jealous? anger? envy? perhaps all of the above? there is three sides to every story one side, the other side and the truth! but with one side gone only one side of that story will ever be told!
Maybe the memories are painful.
thanks for all rolling stones

If you can make it for this long w/in a "band" context , you find you are on elite, solo ground after a certain point. They long-ago reached that & still gather no moss as they continue to roll onward.
