I'm so glad mvc3 came during the time it did, it allowed them to use Strancinsky's design during his comic run, that's my favorite Thor armor, perfect mixture of modern and classic looks.
Agreed, was so happy to see the armor from the JMS run make it. MvC3 is a really great time capsule of late 2000s Marvel designs, Extremis suit Iron Man, Dan Slott era She-Hulk, I love 'em all.

I'm aware this comment is 8 years old, but it sums up the story and life of Norse God Thor. He continuously fights jotunn to protect midgard and asgard. Of all Norse gods, he is the most powerful and imposing, being 3/4ths jotunn himself. He is also the most closest to the common man, for he consecrates the soil so the crops can grow and the people can eat, along with many other boons, such as being a fertility god (mjolnir is a phallic symbol). He has had his ups and downs, from destroying a collosal clay golem and a jotun in one strike, to having to wear a wedding dress to fool a jotunn into returning his lost hammer, only to slay all the giants in the premise when he recieved it. When Thor is looking over you, one may have peace in his protection. Skol~
No it fucking isn't! The Beowulf theme Alan Silvestri (who coincidentally enough ALSO made the awesome memorable themes for Captain America and The Avengers) fits Thor really well, and all you gotta do is change the lyrics from 'Beowulf' to Thor!

i was on vacation in Florida and there was a pretty nasty rain storm going on outside so i was watching history channel. History was doing a special on Thor but instead of just saying it they were giving it a big build up speaking of his feats of strengths and powers, but as this was happening the rain storm got a few rumbles of thunder. So a second before the narrator actually says Thor he says "The mighty god of thunder..." HUGE ass lighting strike close by then he says" Thor" and one of the loudest cracks of thunder i had ever heard went off- and after that build up the storm calmed down back to rain...... this is why the Norse gods are my religion

For some reason, this song makes me imagine a viking trying to sail through a storm in the sea... with giant waves, powerful winds, lighting and thunder getting in the way as the warrior struggles and gives all his might to live through another day.
Even in Norse myth proper Thor was often the butt of jokes and just an overall doofus. None of that interfered with him being the noble champion of Asgard and the object of love and devotion of the common folk who didn’t want to die next winter because the frost giants came and made it too cold to live.

This guy is getting a lot of buffs in UMvC3. Here's some I'd like to point out: - His Mighty Punish is now fully invincible, gives him time to move after it lands, and its active throw frames have been increased. - He had reduced startup time to get a full charge on his Mighty Smash. - His standing L, Jumping L, Mighty Smash, and Mighty Spark have improved hitboxes. There's more, but I only have so little characters....
MCU is not the only Marvel universe. My view when it comes to comic book stories is "enjoy the good stories and ignore the bad ones", as multiple writers write stories for the same character, and some writers are clearly better than others.
It's still like that in the comics,not as much as it's classic days yes but still nothing like the movie version, Comic Thor is unrelated to movie one and for that I'm thankful the writers hasn't butchered the character that much. In comparison comic book Shuri, shang chi are some bootleg of their movie counterparts nowadays

Really nails down Thor as a character. Imposing, powerful, but ultimately noble.
This theme is so relaxing and in a way soothing. I like fighting Thor just for this theme so when I miss my combos, I don't RAGE as much.
