The cooler weather this year has made it extremely difficult to grow many of our more exotic fruits to ripeness. Still, an achiement to grow that Watermelon, Mike. Your chilli's and scoth bonnet peppers look amazing. Once I fix up my allotment plot I plan to grow some there.
Thanks Dominic, I love growing watermelons and hot Chillies, but they too need hot weather for the majority of peppers to fully ripen. Unfortunately, this has not happened this year and now is the time to prep the plants for overwintering.

I'm sure they would have done much better if we had had a warmer Summer. Your chilli plants look amazing though!! I already miss fresh chillies.

I don't grow them but I suspect this Summer has been a shocker for watermelons 😥
