This is Disney’s attempt to pivot around Square - utilizing their famous IPs in a KH-esque format, without paying SE so much money. There will be no FF characters let alone KH characters in this game, calling it now.
Sorry my comment was rude, that wasn't okay, it's just... Legit, we've known for years that Disney owns sora. If they wanted to, they could put him randomly into the next movie they make, and square couldn't stop them. Because they own sora. Not square.
DBZ Dokkan Battle has been around for ten years this upcoming January. Same for Yu-Gi-Oh Duel Links. That gane has also been around for almost ten years. Unchained x was online for about 6 years as well. As long as the game is good and it keeps getting support from the devs, then we'll likely be able to enjoy it for a long time.

@camharkness while I agree with your comment about how the Kh Fandom, however I don't like how you just assumed that I am one of the fans you described, first and foremost I am a huge fan of all the games that came out on handheld and the main console and understand that all of them have their own strengths and weaknesses, I'm the guy that thinks kh3 has the best and most creative combat and worlds, and while yes kh2 is my favorite I actually understand that it isn't as perfect as most make it out to be and has its flaws, I'm the guy that thinks kh com and re:com where great games, hell I think kh DDD has the third best combat in the series and is only held back by the lack of stagger on his regular attacks, all my thoughts on all of these games comes from extensive play time and expiration with the combat, second the console version of the games have always been more excepted by the community hell you even see alot of PS game play of kh3 and if they used the old kh1 and 2 engine it wouldn't have took no longer than two years to complete it and they also could continue to update it very easily considering it wouldn't take much time to prepare updates on the old engine.
Predictions: KHML launch Crossover Event where we can unlock the Destiny Trio and Missing-Link Trio alongside KH drip for the Disney gang and some limited time weapons! Things like have been done before, the most recent example being a crossover with a new game from the Cookie Run franchise with another one that has been around for 3 years. There, you could get new furniture and a guest cookie to join your kingdom! It's just a thought I have, but if Disney did something like this, BOY the number of KH fans getting on this thing!
Oh. Gungho did the remaster of Grandia 1 and 2. The remaster in question, ironically, only had one issue... the pixel art was smoothed out and you couldn't disable the filter
Honestly, I’ve been wanting a Disney crossover RPG like this for so long. Something separate from KH and with traditional turn-based combat. It’s why I’m a little disappointed it’s an iOs game and not a console release. It still looks cool.
hi, i got a video idea for u that i would love to watch: research every possible disney world and make it a color coded list, discuss possible scenarios that could happen in the worlds. every possible disney movie that wasn't used in kingdom hearts before and why it would work and why it wouldn't, movies are all typea of stuff ranging from old handdrawn animated movies, 3d movies, marvel, starwars, EVERYTHING! i would watch a long ass video about that.
This is quite interesting. The least they could do is bring in Disney Afternoon/Disney Channel animated shows in pixel form into this game if they won't use the KH characters.

@josephlovell7761 same with me and Disney Speedstorm. I’ve seen multiple request for Sora, Riku, and other KH characters to join the roster in the official racers suggestion discord. And I’m sure there are some for Dreamlight Valley too. Like I know we’ll probably have to wait until KH4’s release year for cross promotion, but who can really tell since a majority of these Disney crossover games haven’t include KH original characters yet.(excluding Tsum Tsum and Emoji Blitz)

As a Dreamlight Valley player, I do indeed want Kingdom Hearts characters. I could see Sora’s friendship quests being about trying to help him connect to the villagers while he keeps treating them like the versions he’s met.

This looks fun I love pixel art and used to play a game called defenders of texel which looks similar to this. Hopefully it does a KH collab because I’d spend money on that
Gungho games are pretty well made. Puzzle and Dragons is still popular to this day in JP at least. I dropped it when Crash Fever got released though (RIP CF and Alice Fiction) And while Capcom card-battler TEPPEN is made for a very niche audience, that audience is pretty satisfied with it as far as i know. I have faith that Gungho will make a great Disney gacha that will be able to stand up to the other gacha game Twisted Wonderland

I was wondering a long time why Disney never makes serious good games with their ips. Disney Infinity was a horrible cash grab. They should make stuff like this now, but as an actual singleplayer game for consoles for example
It's really just been the last 10 years where Disney hasn't been making games, and usually when they make original stuff, even when it's good it doesn't sell (epic mickey and split second among others)
