thank you! I bought one months ago and was daunted by installation. Got it done pretty quickly with this help. The printed directions were confusing. If anyone else has a tundra, you have to use the two different kinds of clamps it comes with (bed cleats), two go on outside, 1 goes inside the bracket thing in the bed for tie downs. Impact driver did a good job. My bf has a Nissan truck and it came with one of those folding covers and I agree the roll up kind - way better and way lighter.
5:25 this may be a silly question, but is it supposed to be flapping like that? What if you go like on the toll road or something it’s 80 miles an hour?
Hi, Great teaching tool, thank you. I noticed you may have a truck tarp/cover for the entire vehicle, can you offer the brand and item you bought? Also, regarding the rollup cover, did you purchase the 6’ length? Thank you again! Great video.
So… my question would be, if I get a 6’- 6’4”rollup for my tundras 8’bed cause I have a tool box installed(like 20”-24” bought the truck like that) i should be good to go right? Nothing to screw or set at the back of the bed, right? 😅 want to cover the bed, but the toolbox sits above, just trying to weather proof a bit and make it cleaner for when I’m not hauling stuff, thanks to anyone who answers this 🫡
Nothing to screw to the back of the bed but it may be a little flimsy as the back rail won’t have anything to rest upon. You’d probably need to fab up some sort of a ledge on the tool box so the rail can rest on it. Plus… a tundra bed is wider so a taco cover won’t be wide enough.
@@Archifx i figured that part fairly quick and looked for a tundra cover, same brand. The toolbox is smooth and painted, and it rests over the sides of the bed. I think if anything I can fab a little plate to place that extra weather strip in case it has some sort of gap while dry fitting ?)
Nice video. Good looking truck! How well does that vinyl hold up over time vs Truxedo or another brand? I'm considering a soft roll up for my 2023 Tacoma Sport.
I seen the tuxedo and I have this one. If I where to seen the tuxedo in person, I would have gone with that one, the vinal on the tuxedo feels tougher and feels more like a "hard cover" very stiff and not much rippling. The tyger I have is 100% waterproof after sealing up the gaps in the Tacoma bed (there is a lot located in the actual bed itself in the front section). I had to adjust the tension after the first few days with the adjustment sliders where it locks in. I'm pretty happy with it so far. Just wish it was a little more "tought" I might upload a video showing the 3rd generation Tacoma spots to seal up for a watertight bed as everybody never seems to cover these
@@Archifx 175mph on a stock taco? Not sure what's drs means but I can report back 80-90mph a lot of flapping but it held up fine. I did have to adjust the tension after the first couple days as it seems to stretch a bit
Thank you for a simple install video with out unnecessary commentary or cheesy cut scenes 👏
Simple and practical your approach doesn't hurt.
Thank you! Because of your video I finally got my tonnau cover!

Just traded my 2020 4Runner for 2023 Taco SR5 crew 5’ bed. Looking for a cover until I can afford a cap. 😊 thanks for the no frills crap. Lol 😂.
Nice review. Going to pick one up because of this vid 👍
Can I put this on my 2006 Tacoma 6ft. bed?

Like to see an update driving at 80 on the Interstate. The final test of high speed stability. :-)
I had it up to 217 at IMOLA last weekend. Did perfectly
Cool video. Is it "locked" with the tailgate locked?

@@Archifx thanks for the reply as well, i appreciate it 🙏🏼
Can you take this through a car wash? Live up north and like to get underwash cleaned on nicer days in winter to wash off salt
Also, any concerns about the life / duration of the Velcro?
Hows it holding up now?

What about 80-90mph? Worried about thoes speeds...
It’s fine up to about 175mph with DRS wide open.

Cool 😎
Thank you sir and you were correct; I was overthinking it. This is the right one for the Tacoma 🫡
Great video that cover is a pos.
I disagree. Cover is a champ. Use it daily and have no issues or leaks.
I love it!! And I will put some of that UV spray or conditioner for summer to make it last. Or just roll it up in summer. @@Archifx
