Mark, through my school days sir, the show was genuinally my cure at the time for depression, I thank you so much for it, being a part of it and making me cry with laughter like a drone every week. I do so hope if you know of anymore episodes you can somehow upload them.
I saw Roy Hudd back in the 60s in a variety show in Manchester, then again, in a farce in the 90s.,where I were lucky enough to meet him..a great comedian, steeped in old style comedy..this series was brill, Saturday lunchtime always looked forward to listening to it, I am sure I have a few off-air recordings too,no political correctness back then...I also saw Chris Emmet in a show in the West End..I think it may have been Sugar Babes a Burlesque, at the Savoy Theatre.where he was perfectly cast..he outshone the star, Mickey Rooney with his delivery of wit. I also saw June Whitfield playing in a special concert at the Royal Festival Hall (along with many other tv celebrities)..Avery witty, clever programme..June Whitfield`s character voices superb.. and Bobby and Maxwell quick-fire sketch brill..
I used to love it.it was topical and extremely funny.i used to have amstrad radio cassette player in the 70s and could set it up to record the programmes.
I loved this series and used to listen to it every Saturday lunchtime on Radio 2. Happy days.
Ah the glorious, days of well written comedy and flawless impersonations
I used to love listening to the radio shows. Hello Cheeky , The Clitheroe Kid and others.
Great stuff..Roy Hudd of course and the great John Junkin.
This was always a brilliant series.
Excellent programme , pity there is only half a dozen available to listen too .
The best sort of comedy no f ing. swear words, I saw them once at the Paris Theatre, quite brilliant
Great to hear June Whitfield reprise Eth from the Glums.
I was one of the writers on this but sadly cannot recall which of those deathless gags was mine.

I had completely forgotten about Mr Friggins!
Loved their phrase when a gag was met with groans rather than laughs...."Look out, they're coming towards us!"
Absolutely perfect. I really needed that.
