Goodnight and God bless Roy. Happy memories from my childhood on a Saturday lunchtime. Sausages and mash. Marrow fat peas. And this. Happy happy days. Your wit was outstanding.
I was lucky enough to see this show at the Paris Sudios in Lower Regent St. It used to be broadcasted around lunchtime on Wednesday from what I remember?... the laughter speaks for itself. I was only a mere 13 at the time, but a fan. The internet has its purpose, so thank you for putting this up
Thank you Ray that is much appreciated. How lucky you were to see the show being recorded. This special edition was broadcast on Sunday 30 December at 10 pm and repeated on Tuesday 1 December at 12.30 pm just before Sport on 2
I was just nine here and halfway through junior school at the time. Roy Hudd was in a stage production of Oliver Twist as Fagin and he said I should have been on the stage with the cast due to my audience participation. What would he thought of me as an adult of 52?
I really enjoyed that, very funny. I loved the 1970's, I was a child then. Great TV, films, and music. Their song at the end about the 1980's, well, they need not have worried, they were awesome, for me anyway. It was the 1990's they should have been warned about, they sucked for me on many levels.
Loved Roy Hudd listening to his stories
Takes me back

A tiny little radio pressed against my ear listening to the Huddlines whilst hiding under the covers. Thanks for my education Roy.

Yep, this is why I love the Internet - and TH-cam in particular. It's a veritable treasure trove of laughs gone by.
My God, this is still pretty fresh. And how right he was about a second referendum.
I'd forgotten just how good this was. Perennial brilliance.
Extremely talented man, old school. R. I. P.
Great to hear this again.Thanks

RIP Roy Hudd.
Very prophetic about a referendum result on the Common Market! 1979....2015
Absolute gold

Sparkling , carefree humour from a time before PC and Woke censorship.
I am from the future and Britain levels the common market in 2020 after a vote in 2016
