    In cold weather states where salt and sand are used on the roads is it necessary to install shock boots to cover the shafts?

    • @extremeterrain

      Shock boots are kind-of a "love it" or "hate it" thing. Some people think that having the shaft exposed will lead to corrosion or rust faster than normal. Others believe that the boot itself can trap *MORE* dirt and debris inside, and can lead to corrosion that way. So to an extent, it comes down to personal preference. But if you stay on top of cleaning your Jeep and make sure no dirt gets trapped inside of your shock boots, they will help keep things a bit cleaner. Hope this helps! -Zach

    Do you need control arms for this lift?

    • @extremeterrain
      @extremeterrain  ปีที่แล้ว

      They're not required but it would help with drivability and correcting thrown off suspension angles. Front lower control arms or drop brackets would be a great place to start.

    Can I use these on a stock 2015 JKU Rubicon?

    These shocks ride like cardboard, compared to the Fox series or a more reputable shock. That being said, they're "okay" at best as a foundation build, but you'll probably end up sinking more $ into the suspension platform within the year.

      Do they ride softer or firmer over stock shocks? I’m trying to find a softer riding shocks after trying falcon 2.1s and finding them way too harsh for on road comfort.

      @@Rushdie01 (In my personal opinion) they ride harsher / stiffer.

      i bought a one owner jeep he put these with the teraflex 2.5 inch kit (2013 JK) They just took a shit on me. the rest of the suspension is still in stellar condition. I am now upgrading to the falcon 2.1 but man the fact that these things lasted 9 years is impressive.
