Transforming Communities: The Impact of our Slate Belt Rising Program

Slate Belt Rising (SBR), a program of Community Action Lehigh Valley, is a neighborhood revitalization initiative aimed at enhancing the individual assets of Slate Belt communities. By uniting the unique history, architecture, and culture of each municipality, SBR takes a regional approach to foster comprehensive community and economic development. The program's Neighborhood Partnership Plan specifically targets the boroughs of Bangor, Wind Gap, Pen Argyl, and Portland, while also promoting regional development and coordinated services for the entire area.
