She was not about to allow him to force them into an uncomfortable situation outside of their own discretion and control. I don't know what it took for her to catch on to him. I don't know if it took the experience of being in his vicinity or if she just got it immediately but I'm glad she caught on and expressly tried to put distance between him and the cast on a regular basis, and its the fact that she even had to do that that is so heartbreaking and horrifying. No one deserves that.

I think she was afraid she may have been exposed laying back like that and you're right she tries to cover herself, and Elizabeth just seeing her discomfort and immediately on gaurd when Dan comes over. She was not about to allow him to force them into an uncomfortable situation outside of their own discretion and control. I don't know what it took for her to catch on to him. I don't know if it took the experience of being in his vicinity or if she just got it immediately but I'm glad she caught on and expressly tried to put distance between him and the cast on a regular basis, and its the fact that she even had to do that that is so heartbreaking and horrifying. No one deserves that.
