Issue #4 was such a huge one for me. After years, I finally figured out that THAT was the issue. Despite singing very high vowels, every consonant was being formed using "speaking" shapes. So, in a way it felt like I was jumping up and down in my mouth and throat...going from speaking shape to singing shape. Now that I figured that one out, I have been able to work on solving.

I really like this video and found it useful! Thank you for emphasizing that scales should be practiced slow. As the saying goes "practice doesn't make perfect, perfect practice makes perfect".
This is also the first video on flat singing I've seen that emphasizes consonants and singing them on pitch. Really great tip!!

Thank you so much for this, Victoria. I wasn't very happy with my singing in church today. I had a lot of good moments, but I could tell I was flat on some parts, and indeed I was when I listened to it. My nerves got the better of me. 😕 I'll need to brush it off and use it as a learning experience. Do you have any tips on doing that after a performance? Thank you so much.

I have not make my mind yet to get serious about singing even though I like it a lot because I have been having problems with the first vertebrae below my scull and is been affecting my throat chronic horse voice but I'm hoping soon will be able to sing

I have three bone spurs in my neck, so I feel you. Quite literally a pain in the neck! Keep up on your stretching before warm ups & performance. Good luck, & just know you're not alone, I know it sucks. Hope it doesn't keep you from doing what you love.

To me, vocals don’t matter too much.
Sure there are great singers to be validated.
It’s the singer’s emotional voice I look for in listening that is important to me more than a great voice.

Wow I asked a question and you came up how amazing I need a vocal warm up That will help me with everything I have studied forever but been away from Manhattan for a while I am a dramatic soprano and I need a full warm up warm up from Low G all the way up to a high C # That will help me especially with carrying up too much weight and blowing too much air and singing flat and to not have any wobble and to have all the notes not just the low chest and the mix but the middle and of course the passagio and the top my B flat is OK but I need up to the c# so I have a solid c ... Oh how I wish I could come in person but I can't I'm wanting this vocal warm up to last at least 45 minutes could you please do this for me it would be almost saving my life because I'm wanting to go back to my music desperately singing heavy repertoire ALONE and being a dramatic soprano it is a really rare voice there are only very few in the world today I need to fix mine please help me I will pay you however You want to be paid and I would be so thankful dying of a broken heart needing your help desperately because my music will save me and everything around me my children and so much more .... Please respond XOXOXO

Your videos are very helpful to me
But still I am not able to sing in my voice because I don't know what my real voice sound like
    I am a female.
I sound different when I sing without music aur singer but I sound very different when I sing with singer and then it will become hard for me to sing in my voice and that's why I don't to what's my voice and what I sound like and how to sing in my voice

Finding your very own voice I would think is the hardest. I don’t sing, have no interest in it. I do listen to singers from around the World. I would guess a personal vocal coach would help a singer find their own voice.
Some singers want to sing like another singer. I have no experience in this voice coaching but I do know there have been famous singers that helped new singers find their own voice. You hear singers singing that have a very unique voice.
They are famous for that unique voice.
Their fans don’t want that voice to ever change no matter what anyone else thinks of their singing voice. It’s their unique style and vocalization that made them famous. People love that voice, that is the singer’s signature voice.
Mori Masako is a good example of this.
She is a famous Japanese ENKA singer,
      sings only in Japanese.
There are people that would hear Mori singing and think.
She cannot sing well at all, in fact terrible…Mori Masako’s voice is her signature voice that is uniquely Mori’s voice and the people love that Mori
voice listening to her singing her songs.
Mori is famous for that voice and the way she uses her voice. Mori Masako’s way.

I’m getting back into guitar again in my 70’s. I haven’t a clue whether I sing flat or not! It’s pretty disheartening that I’m not game to sing for fear of ridicule.
Where should I start as I’m probably the worst singer going around. I had three singing lessons but then left as I felt nothing was happening! I also tried an App singing lessons.
Disastrous as my pitch was all over the shop! I just want to be able to sing two or three songs around the campfire.
    Please! Where do I start?

As far as pitch, I recommend that you work with a pitch monitor app. There are lots of free ones online.

How can I sing with an open and fuller sound without sounding like I'm singing opera?
My voice tends to close a lot when I sing, almost nasal but it's not a nasal sound.
Also how can I SING through out an entire song without sometimes sounding like I'm speaking a word instead of singing it.
    Thank you!
