My opinions on the Kronos are mixed. It's a beautiful, comfortable, powerful pistol with an internal magazine. The problem is what it shoots (stock, anyways): Rival Rounds are pretty inaccurate at any kind of medium-long range which leads to some frustrating moments trying to peg targets. Do all these upgrades fix that problem? Time to find out.

Not entirely the video I had planned for today but I wanted to mix things up a bit and talk about the Kronos. Not hating, I just have a hard to really figuring out where to put it in a loadout.

I agree, while I like it, really, any sidearm is hard to fit in a loadout. That's kinda why I wouldn't ever really use it unless absolutely necessary(and my reasoning for my logic on any nerf loadout). Also, I see why people like it and the hammershot, and really, with a cosmetic mod and paint job(especially the hammershot, even though I don't like the hammershot that much, man is it good looking with a hand cannon kit).
Two thumbs WAY up for using Phantasy Star Online BGM during the video :D Brought back a lot of great memories, and now I kind of want to mod a kronos into a Yasminkov 2000H

What is happening
>The kronos is the same size/bigger than a stryfe and is inaccurate (a modded DL-44 or a Magnus is better)
>Third party blasters have a better performance/price ratio these days
Hasbro has some OK ideas like the Infinus but those are a rarity.
I love the kronos as a primary even with only the five rounds and grabbing from a dump pouch for reloads. Haven't had spring load issues even with the k26.
Greehas I do the exact same thing, but with a K25 cause pulling back a K26 was a little too impractical to use in game 😅 (for me)
Hey Walcom! I have two 6- round k26 Kronos with customized 3D printed slide assist and a friend who did similar upgrades. For us, Nerf brand ammo is tremendously more accurate for me than knockoff like Headshot despite how good Headshot is. Flies predictably straight at for me at 100’ outdoors at a dumpster target (I know that is a setup for a punchline, lol, but it’s what I used). Headshot’s ammo contrastingly will predictably fly erratically. My friend and I have similar Kronos upgrades in a total of 4 blasters and the problem is definitively the off-brand ammo even if it is quality off-brand ammo. Also, if you’re having the accidental jam/double round fire issue, either you might need a stronger return spring on the feeding pusher. When I turned my mine into a six loader and had a similar issue, it was fixed by fixing the springs and running the pusher as few times by hand with a little lubricant. Not sure why you were having that issue, but perhaps the solution’s the same. Both have helped run in an indoor war in an urban warfare type of scenario. Multiple hallways, corners, large rooms two ways in and out of everywhere, etc. Worked for me as a more portable sniper in the large rooms and I could be more mobile in the other areas despite my bad knees. Picked off people and then rerouted in another direction immediately upon their yell at being stung...ERR...tagged. It was effective & fun. Lol. Anyway, hopefully this helps you or someone else. You're not wrong. The problem is that straight pull-back is usually superior in every way... that's the reason I haven't made a new M6, I just kept the pretty pink pistol.
Straight pull back is nicer for heavy springs like my 20kg dual strike (which is downright easy to prime), but I like slide pull for the Kronos because it lets me get 5 shots off in 3 seconds -- much quicker for me.
I getcha. I don't find much of a difference. For the most part I enjoy slide pull but after the M6 fiasco I've kinda turned my head to them. I've been meaning to do a video on the subject.

Im currently currently putting Kronos internals inside of a Boomco Brute spiker.
I was inspired by your video with the over under shotgun where you talked about modding a gun just for fun/yourself and not getting too caught up with optimization.
I like this blaster because of my logic for sidearms, I would use them as a last ditch effort to tag an opponent(Generally, if I had to use my sidearm, I would rush and try to get as close as possible, just so that the issues of rival at any range other than CQC range(30 ft and below)) . I don't think a sidearm should ever be a secondary, instead, I would use another primary-ish blaster that fits another role, such as a rotofury, or maybe a Longshot with an integrated mega blaster or underslung titan that can take various stuff, like EIR, but a longshot(BTW, I'm being philosophical, I haven't done any major modding yet, but I really really want to...).

Hello Mr. Walcom I nice fix for the rival "rng" effect is to poke a hole with a nail into the center of your rival round and put a BB or airsoft round in the direct center. I've heard that it increases your accuracy a good bit. Keep up the good work.
The spring spacer is meant for the stock spring not for the k26, thats what is making it harder to prime and why you are getting 140 fps

Not entirely sure, I think they do but without knowing for sure...I just don't know. It felt like the green one sealed the best so I used it.

I get that, but at the same time I can think of like a dozen other things. Modded Blitzfire, anyone? Small, more powerful, more accurate.
my deadpool kronos has a prime thing different then the T-pull had a friend make one out of poly carb and i got K25 in it cause that gets between 115 and 130 which is perfect for me. the poly carb prime handle makes it easier to prime
would still pick a powerball/titanium over a kronos, they are more consistent and go faster stock than a kronos + are easier to reload on the fly
K25 from out of darts gives super accurate results.
Try K25 its probably the most practical way to have a Kronos set up just for ease of use, and while still having that +40 fps power bump

Finnaly, someone who agrees the kronos isn't a good secondary.
It's amazing once you Kronomag it. But you have to do that.

Somebody said there was a cheap spring from Home Depot that turns it into a monster... Anyone have more details? Also, my main gripes with the Kronos are the 5-round capacity and lack of return spring. Priming a Helios is so very satisfying thanks to the later. Which reminds me... PUMP KIT CAME IN!!!
I use the number 49 spring from Ace. Its basically a k26 or you can order from mcmaster.

The stronger the spring you install, the more inaccurate the rival balls are. The faster they travel, the more the veer off to one side.

Yeah, I don't really see why it's so loved, it annoys me even more than the Hammershot because at least the Hammershot is a good tertiary in my opinion.
Don't get me wrong, this thing right now is scary powerful. It shakes every bone in my hand when I try to catch a round. It bounces between the walls in my house 3 times before hitting the floor, it's just stupidly powerful. If the rounds flew straight I'd be good. I might need to try the DZ Rounds in this thing.
