So that was a spit in the face from a man who said he would help us. He basically was another corrupt and two faced politician who showed us he's with the establishment quota.

He did wait 1 1/2 years to bring up the initiatives but the people had gone through the election of Gray Davis, then the Recall, then the primaries for the new governor and then the general election. Labor and the Left were against the initiatives which would have headed off some of the problems that now plague the state. Arnold had enough personal popularity to win a 2nd term but he was a lame duck from the git-go. The Left had taken over Sacramento; Arnold capitulated on so many things any resemblance to him having a Republican identity was purely coincidental by the time he left office. Had he had the support of more people or if he had used the bully pulpit to persuade and lead the state then he might have been effective. As it was, he was quiet as a church mouse and didn't rock the boat.
Sac still not as liberal as Portland politicall, but it also is. More mixed relationships. Sac to me seemed centrist but with more a leftist edge than before. Arnold might have been too late.
