Haeriyaa Lee Haeri’s voice is, yes, Angelic! It’s crisp, deep, and passionate! In my decades long experience with Korea, I’ve never encountered as beautiful of voice as her’s.
She is no doubt the best singer of Korea and no one is close to her in the sense that she has had so many performances that outperform the original singers of the songs she sing (can't believe this? then just go check her live performances on TH-cam. you will find plenty of them and you will know what I mean:)). If you are looking for the best Korean singer or the true world-class singer, then look no further than Lee Heari.
Demitri you are right. That's why I said I personally prefer Haeri over Sohyang who doesn't seem to bring any emotion. There's more to a performance than just techinicality. That's just my personal preference & why I don't consider Sohyang to be the best or better than Haeri.

When I first saw Davichi especially Lee Haeri back in 2008, I didn't like her. I particularly didn't like how Lee Haeri looked and how she was portrayed. Yes I was a frekin hater, but then Davichi, especially Lee Haeri bought me over with her singing skills, and then her beauty grew on me soon after. I "heart" her so much and forever will. I listen to Davichi or to Lee Haeri at least once a day especially before going to sleep. Her voice is soothing. Her voice is like a gentle mother or a gentle teacher who is conveying a kindred message to her child/student/audience. That is how I feel. My heart palpitates, and my emotions sway with such lively compassion.
a great song by a great legendary singer 김광석. the lyrics are extremely beautiful haeri did a great job i liked how her voice fits the song really well she made a smart choice however, i could see her get carried by the emotion of the song and it might made her sound a little bit weak in the second verse. That's why they probably didn't vote for her. I would have personally voted

Sohyang says hi
So Hyang has no emotion when she sings. She's all high notes. It becomes stale after a while. That's why I prefer HaeRi
