Oooo the Picotin is one of the few Hermès bags I actually like thw look of, but the style is quite different for me, so would be good to road-test before jumping in! 🤩

I’m definitely not an IP lawyer, but I’m guessing a bag like this would be difficult to patent. It’s such a simple bag and there aren’t any trademark infringements since it doesn’t say Hermes. But it’s crazy how many look alike bags this store has.
Fashion is constantly copied. Basically every single fashion builds on another. It is why in a season you can go and see Steve Madden basically throwing out Hermes Oran sandals - at least in american copyright law it has been an area for a long time that you can copy a fashion style as long as you are not labeling it as say Hermes Oran sandals.
Even being less quality, i still prefer that one and not spend a month of income on a bag that i will rarely use because i work from home, plus that can get damaged or stolen. Not risking it.
From what I see, the bags are all the 18 size. But honestly you can get a lot on this bag. I originally thought about getting the pictotin 22 but then watched a couple of videos and realized the 18 was plenty roomy.
I went down the rabbit hole with Tiffany and Fred bags after watching this video and other youtubers videos. Not impressed with their bags. I don't know if its because I bought them from Ruelala (and maybe Ruelala gets the bags with minor defects?). Firstly they were all final sale with no returns but nowhere during the purchasing process was that stated. It was only stated on the packing slip, which means I can't return them. I ordered 3 bags: 1. The exact colour "picotin" in this video 2. Bottega small andiamo dupe 3. Chanel dupe 1. Picotin: at first I was happy with it, the lock did have a slight scratch but not significant. But on closer inspection, there were 2 spots of glue or glazing on the front. When I tried to get it off, whatever the finish that they put on it peeled off showing the white underneath. Whatever the coating is, it is very thin and makes me question if this is even a real leather bag. Anyway, I bought the bag to see if I would like a top handle only bag and the answer is no so I'm glad I bought this instead of ordering the real one only to find out it doesn't work for me. 2. Andiamo: the top handle was scratched/abraded, luckily not obvious as the bag was black and the abraded part was still black. 3. Chanel: the flap was obviously uneven, longer on the right than on the left. Lol, maybe they copied a wonky flapped real Chanel. And quality/finish of "leather" and chain were meh quality. The worst finish/quality out of the 3 bags. These bags weren't exactly cheap and I bought them on the basis they were real leather but I have serious doubts. Could probably buy bags the same quality as these on other websites for far cheaper.
I’m sorry to hear your order wasn’t what you’d hoped. I didn’t order mine from Rue la la. As I mentioned in the video, the glazing on mine is not great, but many people have told me theirs was fine. Guess there’s a bit of inconsistency. At least the picotin dupe helped you realized the style isn’t for you. And honestly I think that is one of the big reasons I would buy one of these 💜
Hi Lisa, Yes, I think Ruelala might’ve been the problem as people who bought their bags from Premium outlet seem happy with their purchases. And the fact Ruelala labelled all their bags final sale shows that they probably knew the bags they were selling had issues. Totally disgusted they didn't state final sale/no refunds when I was purchasing them as I definitely wouldn't have bought them. Hope my comments help someone out there to avoid buying from Ruelala.

I agree and disagree. I own Hermes and love my picotin. But I also really like this. Given my low buy this year, there are other bags that I would rather buy. This is a great look for less and if I want to get another picotin next year from boutique, I can pursue that then.
It's because the dude is top grain leather and that's why they put a line on the inside still real leather, but it's not it's the lower of all leather cow
I bought it to compare and also because I love my black one so much I wanted another color. Since I’m only buying 4 luxury handbags this year, this was a good option to get the look for less.
I know people who own so many really luxury brands, but they live in their mom's house. I own a house, drive a Lexus, and I do buy stuff *gtdupe* to put money in my pocket.
