I was prescribed Amantadine to control my dyskinesia. I had some hallucinations but the worst side effect was Livedo Reticularis. L.R. is a rare side effect. My legs turned red and blotchy and my veins turned purple.

Parkinson’s can be detected early through checking for vibrations in the nervous system by holding a highly sensitive ‘Vibration Sensor’ between the teeth.

My first symptom I noticed is a very fine chattering of my teeth. Very strange and annoying.

I was diagnosed with PD Jan 16, 2018 and prescribed LevoDopa 4 times a day 1/2 tab. My inquiry is how on earth do you track th time? I foresee myself chained to thee alarm clock watching the seconds clicking off to the next dose. I cannot see being able to leave the house-amy ideas?

Hello Mr. Bower, we'd recommend asking this question on the Parkinson's Foundation forums. forum.parkinson.org/ Our doctors and several other experts help answer questions there. Also the Parkinson's Foundation has a help line that is great for questions like this. You can work with your medical team to find a solution that works best for you.

Doug Bower- I've had similar problems when taking assorted medications. My solution was to use my cell phone's alarm clock function- I just set up four alarms, one every six hours. It can be a pain to live that way- but it beats the alternatives. As for leaving the house- just take some of your medication with you; yeah, also annoying, but...better the drugs than whatever your symptoms are, right?

There is a great app called Medisafe. It is terrific, easy to set up and easy to use.

In my case, I'm allergic to many things- like whole classes of medication. Fortunately, I'm not allergic to ropinirole and lorazepam- the one controls many of my PD symptoms, and the other helps with dystonia and keeping my spirits up- or at least helping to prevent a lot of anxiety attacks. Sure, Ropinirole has side effects...but I can live with them. I Can't live with the nasty tremors I get without the drug.
