    My biggest sins when growing out my yeard were the lack of products and lack of healthy trimming. Highly recommend. I have no plans to do a yeard again, as I been there and done that, but when I do grow my beard out I make sure I have all the products and trim rationally.
    As for guys struggling to get out of that awkward phase, try to time how long your awkward phase is. My 5th week is usually my hell period. It must get worse before it gets better. My 3rd week is also my itchy period. Just take it one week at a time and take notes. For example I reach an inch about 10 weeks.

    I normally would trim my facial hare with 1/8 guard at least every two weeks or sooner. But I decided I wanted to let it grow for a year to see how it looks. It’s been 3 months and the hardest part is trying not to cut it. The clippers are calling out to me.

    I’m guilty of wanting someone else’s beard. I was watching the Stars video and told myself that I want a beard like John Cooper In that video. 4 months later, I have the beard and I’m gonna keep growing.

    Start this july 25th my road to yeard and my cheeks are weak, but I will give them time and when yeards ends I will see the final results. I will do the yeard without barbers and touchings, just letting grow

    A yeard is a year of growth so you shouldn’t start with a beard already on your face & you shouldn’t trim it at all. If you do it’s still a beard but not a yeard.

    • @resisttherazor7906
      @resisttherazor7906  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I agree that, from a purist's perspective, you are right. However, I think we can give folks a little leeway, should they want to grow out their beard for the year, but do just a little tidying up to maintain a well-groomed appearance. Semantics aren't really the point, after all; making beardedness accessible to any who want to join the bearded community is certainly a more lofty goal.
