Vancouver, British Columbia Canada with Geordie roots from Newcastle-upon-Tyne (appropriately hyphen-full for todays grid might I add). Geordies are known to have the most unique and difficult-to-understand accents of them all... Which might I add is only slightly more satisfying than the "Minnesota Nice" Fargoesque manner of speaking you dislike. Fargo always flirts in my top five favourite movies of all time, its the epitome of perfect dark comedy, and Frances McDormand is a tour-de-force in that picture. Can't resist your deconstruction of these Sunday grids. Happy holidays!

Sean! So good to hear from you! And honestly, because you are the nth (insert any ginormous, random number for true hyperbolic perfection here) person to tell me that the movie is among the best ever made, and because I have come to appreciate your opinion above the others anyway, I am going to make a solemn promise here in writing: I will buy Fargo on Amazon this week and watch it. Start to finish. If it ranks THAT HIGH on your favorite flicks of all time, well, how can I not?
Yes, the Fargoesque accent is equivalent to fingernails on a blackboard in my inner ear, but I'm sold by your missive's solid arguments. I will watch, I will stay focused, I will report. You make a solid case, Amigo.☺
