Cool! I agree with this list, except I would have added red nerve/polka dot plants, Those are super easy and add a dash of color (besides green) to the tank!
I live in Massachusetts and I'm thinking about getting a corn snake and in the winter it gets very cold. How would I keep the temperature at the correct point when it's very cold.
Some websites say gold devils ivy or just devils ivy can be toxic to reptiles. I already have a few umbrella plants for my enclosure and wanted to get devils ivy as its the most common pothos plant here. I have a jacksons cham. Is it alright with chameleons?
I have whites tree frogs and I try pathos all the time and they always die or get squished!! They definitely can get overwatered bc I’ve done that. I have tried multiple experiments of watering every day, every few days, once a week and they always die! I even took clippings and grew them out for quite awhile and then planted them in my terrarium and they died right away :( I have no idea what to do
if i wanted to put a snake plant in with my northern blue tongue skink would i have to put more substrate so the plant can root throught the whole enclousure or just more substrate in that general area where the plant is Thanks!
Snake plant roots don't spread out as much as other plants from what I've seen and I think having about 3-4+ inches where the actual plant is would be best while the rest of your tank wouldn't need as much. However, blue tongue skinks love to burrow so it'd be a good idea to have a good few inches of reptile safe soil throughout the whole enclosure anyway :)
Thanks for the response, ive had my corn snake for a while now and he's settled in really well he doesnt have any trouble eating and he loves to be handled he's also very docile, but a few days ago when i was handling him he straitened up and started to go crazy does it mean theres something wrong with him or was he just startled?
Usually, my snakes can be fine for a week max and I can have family members come over to cover a few basic care things while I'm gone like filling water bowls and feeding a couple lizards.
Nice video man :) make sure olive doesn't chew on the snake plant, they are slightly toxic to dogs and cats and idk about reptiles. I know other people do use them with success, so I wouldn't worry unless you see olive chewin it up :)
+Abinaya Fuun Overtime, they can get huge but it takes a while. They "sprout" new snake plants too, so you could use the new ones and out the outgrown one elsewhere
n1vroc many ferns are toxic, if you plant them with a carnivorous species that likes a shady environment (because ferns hate light) there are some that might work.
For the sansevieria or snake plant you should cut off the baby's when they are half the size of the main plant so they don't take all othe nutrients from the main plant
Yes you can, just make sure they aren't from evergreen trees to avoid resin and toxic compounds in the wood (the fumes can cause neurological damage to reptiles and resin can injure their skin if they get stuck). Recovered wood should be washed and dried properly in the sun or in the oven for several hours or until completely dry.
Do a follow up on this vid. Would love to see a series dedicated to constructing vivariums and such.
WE REALLY DO NEED A construction series!!

Ironically, it would probably be worst choice for a snake considering how they like to dig things up
Cool! I agree with this list, except I would have added red nerve/polka dot plants,
Those are super easy and add a dash of color (besides green) to the tank!

How do you clean an enclosure with a live plant tho
roxanne hummel u just clean em
Add springtails and isopods. Springtails eat poop, isopods eat leaf litter.
Hi there! Does succulent plants work in a corn snake enclosure?
hey i just got a baby corn snake but he gets startled really easily i was just wondeing if thats normal
If you just got it, that's not surprising. Give it a few days or a week to adjust to it's enclosure before trying to handle it.
Thanks for the response, ive had my corn snake for a while now and he's settled in really well he doesnt have any trouble eating and he loves to be handled he's also very docile, but a few days ago when i was handling him he straitened up and started to go crazy does it mean theres something wrong with him or was he just startled?
Is this something that happens often or was it just once? You may have just spooked him. I still do the same occasionally with my snakes by accident.
It only happend once.
Are these plants expensive or can you buy them cheap at the garden centre because I may get a couple for my tanks
careless gamer they are probably the cheapest tropical plants ever
Yeah, they're all pretty cheap. I've seen them all at Home Depot and other common stores
Have yoy ever use creeping jenny plant
keep up the great work
Hey what do you do with your reptiles when you go on a vacation
Usually, my snakes can be fine for a week max and I can have family members come over to cover a few basic care things while I'm gone like filling water bowls and feeding a couple lizards.

Is umbrella tree wood ok for reptiles
I have heard that Pothos can be poisonous. Is this true because I am thinking about putting some in our gecko’s cage
Thank you so so so much
:D
Now these are safe for bearded dragons ?? I didn’t catch that?? Thanks
These plants probably need more humidity than a beardie tank should have.

+Abinaya Fuun Overtime, they can get huge but it takes a while. They "sprout" new snake plants too, so you could use the new ones and out the outgrown one elsewhere
GoHerping ok thnx
They can get 8 ft tall but pruning the top is something you can do and they will be fine and you can use those clippings to grow new snake plants
Is a money plant a safe plant for a boa?

" And the 4th reptile safe plant is Weed .... "😂

n1vroc many ferns are toxic, if you plant them with a carnivorous species that likes a shady environment (because ferns hate light) there are some that might work.

I used to play it a ton and ran some servers, but kind of stopped a little before 1.10 came out
For the sansevieria or snake plant you should cut off the baby's when they are half the size of the main plant so they don't take all othe nutrients from the main plant
Good to know, thanks!
Yees

Yes you can, just make sure they aren't from evergreen trees to avoid resin and toxic compounds in the wood (the fumes can cause neurological damage to reptiles and resin can injure their skin if they get stuck).
