JC have only ever used the GJ mould once on a Dragonair Cargo 747-200 though, so most likely they'll use the same mould they used for their "City of Everett" release
Is there a reason why model companies such as JC opt for a “future release”? Is it to garner interest? If there is one thing a lot of people must agree on, it is that releasing what you already manufactured, a month later, is a better approach. I can’t be the only one that doesn’t risk placing pre orders on some of their models because it may never turn up (such as the Air Belgium 747 ‘hongyuan group’). I think from what others have said, JC sometimes just can’t be bothered shipping them out, as some are already made. I’m aware GJ does this, but not half as bad.
There is a lot of competition between brands for the same model. Often Phoenix, JC Wings/Gemini, Aviation400 and NG Models will all make the same airline/aircraft so if it is a new livery just announced by an airline there is a race to get people's money before someone else does. JC Wings does have a bit of a reputation for this as being the worst but Phoenix releases usually take 3 months from announcement and AV400 can be 6+ too. NG usually get the model out within a month or two.
That garuda A330 i ordered back in april 2023 so nearly 2 years late 🤣
Yeah and NG models made it better since!
@@YesterAirlines it also reminds me that i ordered the Boeing Eco demo 777 from them too, Back in September 2022 and it's still not been made.
