      Tofu is pretty good for protein I think at least and also very tasty I'm sure of that. Try teriyaki tofu if you're up to try something new!

    One of the best ASMR videos I’ve ever seen and heard. What I really love is when very occasionally the whisper breaks into a soft spoken for a brief moment then returns to whispering.     Food scientist here! Good vegan protein sources are any soy products (tofu, bean curd, a lot of good Asian dishes using these ingredients), beans, peanuts/peanut butter. Whole grains help contribute more protein than refined grains too!
    Turmeric can come in pill supplements so you don’t have to taste it 😅.
    As for iron, if you have something with vitamin C along with your high iron food (red meat, spinach, fish/seafood, beans, and eggs) your body will absorb the iron better!
    You can get zinc from meats, eggs, dairy, whole grains, seaweed, beans, and nuts!

    hi glow! i had a similar problem with my protein intake a a couple of years ago so i wanted to share some basics that helped improve my health and performance in the gym.
    definitely aim for .7g - 1.0 protein / lb (especially if you’re dancing or weightlifting since this is the range required for optimal muscle protein synthesis). the most important thing is to incorporate high quality protein sources that you actually enjoy, that way it’s much less of a struggle to keep a consistent intake! my favorite vegetarian options are greek yogurt (add blueberries!), whey isolate protein powder, cottage cheese. if you are willing to incorporate animal products then chicken breast and eggs are excellent. there are some great vegan options as well like edamame, kale, pea protein powder (more processed than whey but still gets the job done). nuts are great but in terms of macronutrients they tend to be majority healthy fats with a much smaller amount of protein. i strongly encourage you to check out whey-based powders. whey is a natural byproduct of making cheese and it’s super easy to put into milk, yogurt, water and quickly get down high amount of good quality protein (~24g per scoop).

    Yaay! Always love deep whispers! One of my favourites! Always so nice to listen to you chat about you're life and things you're passionate about! You're always so happy and positive and it's so uplifting for me who suffers with severe depression.
    Just wanted to wish you all the best with this hair program you're on although personally, I don't think you need it and I think you have amazing hair!
    New mics are great BTW! Soooo crisp! Love the candles and the cozy atmosphere too!
    Try not to worry about turning 30 if you can. I understand that that's something a lot of women worry about so I just want to reassure you that you're still young and you still have many years of happiness and joy ahead of you and a fiance who loves you. I also personally think you're looking as good as ever these days!
    Don't ever be afraid to try new things. It's always good to experiment. You're so creative and I always enjoy seeing what you come up with. I know it's not always possible to please everyone but I'm sure the majority of people will enjoy it. We all have different pereferences. The world would be pretty boring if we all liked the same things!
    Noticed one or two haters in the comments. Try not to let them get to you if you can. You are honestly one of the most amazing human beings I've ever come across and you're doing such a wonderful job in the world helping so many people to relax and fall asleep.

      Yeah, I mean Glow's slow, gentle videos are among my favourites although I really like most other things she does as well. I LOVE her roleplays and her goofier videos where we get to see the more quirky side to her personality! She even manages make me like triggers that I don't normally like such as inaudible whispers. For me, it always kinda stresses me out trying to work out what the ASMRtist is saying. But Glow somehow manages to make me not think about it and just relax to the sounds. I honestly don't know how she does it! This woman is a magician! 🌟
      The disrespectful comments really bother me too but I just try to ignore them as I think people like that are generally just looking to get a rise out of people. Best to not feed their satisfaction. They'll soon get bored!

    Had to pause the video when Glow recounted her experience with dark chocolate. Even as a lover of dark chocolate, 100% is something that kills me, so props to Glow for surviving the encounter to tell the tale. Also, can relate to the desire for more protein in one’s diet because I’ve been trying to do the same, but for weight gain since I’m too damn light. Protein shakes, yogurt and lentils have become staples in my diet in trying to get to a healthier weight. And as mentioned, eggs are great too!
    EDIT: Lost it at Glow’s satirical plan to socialize, have kids! Lmaooo. I laugh, but as a 35yo, I relate to the struggles of socializing as an adult. It’s rough out there today

    I can relate also as an introvert. I have a few friends I connect with regularly but I really enjoy being alone too. Wandering in my imaginary worlds, stories etc. but I feel it's healthy to talk to and listen to another human sometimes.

    When it comes to making friends , you have such great imagination, just think of what kind of friend would you like to have or are you , imagine how would you like to spend time with your friend, what topics you talk about .... you could even make a roleplay (like sitting in a cafe / making art together / going into library together/ laughing together/dancing together/talk about books for example ) there is a part of yourself,who knows how to make friends , trust yourself and know your greatest friend is waiting for you ,to meet you ,too !(be open , be curious , be kind❤ ) i have met a lot of new friends after my 30s and Im glad , i let new people into my heart , they still inspire me every day! May you find a sweet friend ,who shows you the gift of a loyal beautiful friendship! Step into the unknown ,you can do it !!!

    I agree it is harder to make friends if you work from home and you are an introvert. I am in a similar position. You said you dont like exercise, well you could try climbing (bouldering) if it interests you. It's a great place to meet friends and for me its a fun way to exercise. Just an idea though, you might not like that kinda thing. I don't know how old you are, but there are a lot of people from 20-50 who go bouldering and the environment is very welcoming. People are lovely generally at those places.

    Being an introvert (in an very very extroverted job) is kinda just tricky because you don't exactly want to be around people but you're pretty much forced to so it's some method of social interaction. Also - these mics are absolutely amazing!

    If you want protein you can eat beans/lentils. If you are a vegetarian and can eat dairy products you can eat dairy products like cheese/yogurt and shellfish if you can eat that as well

    Hi Glow! Thank you for sharing your health journey! Easy vegan proteins: seitan, tempeh, and tofu. A little marination or seasoning goes very far! Sometimes you can find pre-seasoned. See what you like.
    You can add nutritional yeast on things like popcorn or salad for a bit of extra protein and b vitamins.
    Also incorporate nuts for protein and good fats (I love peanut butter and cashews).
    Finally - some beans and grains are higher in protein, like chickpeas!
    Ok that’s enough from me!

    For hobbies, try tabletop roleplaying games. Something like D&D is a good starting point since you have an interest in high fantasy. It's fun, social, creative, and doesn't require a huge amount of time.

    You do really need protein! But it's easy to get those numbers up for you though. One egg is like 6g, two slices of bread, 8g. One can of tuna, 25g. A small Greek yogurt container, 8g. A small-ish pasta portion will have like 15g. Then chicken, turkey slices, beef and so on. Tofu is also high on protein. And all that stuff has other nutrients, like eggs, poultry and beef have zinc😋 There's also protein bars and powder, of course.
    And you're right, all the stuff you neglect can and will catch up😅 Good luck!
    I eat a lot of good, fatty stuff but also balance it out. You can do it!!!

    Bruh this video is too relatable. I'm going through the exact same thing with the 30s transition. One day your body just starts hurting and you're like, oh damn I better start taking care of this thing lol. It's crazy how suddenly it happens. Also being an introvert trying to push out of the comfort zone. It's tough but I agree that it's probably the healthy thing to do. Wish I had some wise advice but I'm trying to sort it all out too.     Ok just one more thing I swear. I'm totally in favour of seeing new video ideas. I sort of get diminishing returns when it's the same idea over and over. One of the things that originally drew me to this channel was the creative side of it, so please don't feel afraid to try new things.     Hey, as someone that lives vegetarian/vegan, I thougt I might add to other comments that lentils, beans and especially chickpeas are a great plant based protein source too. Beans need to be in the combination of for example rice to complement their amino acids and create a full protein, I think.
    I personally love adding chickpeas to various meals and usually eat noodles out of lentils instead of normal ones to add a protein source to quick pasta recipes too.
    Another way to add Skyr into your diet might also be to use it as a base for a salad dressing, if you don't really enjoy the taste if it, because the spices cover it up a bit.

    Hi Glow ! I'm just at the beginning of the video but in terms of vegan proteins, you have the combination of cereal + legumes (céréales et légumineuses) like rice and beans, or bread and hummus for example. Not easily digestible for everyone unfortunately but if your microbiome is fine with it then go for it ! Soy also contains a good amount of protein. Lastly, nuts like almonds, hazelnuts etc and seeds (especially chia seeds, hemp seeds and quinoa which contain all the essential amino acids). There are options to alternate 😉

    As a vegetarian/pescatarian getting the required grams of protein is pretty easy. If you eat a balanced diet of beans, nuts, grains, vegetables, fish and dairy products you should have no issue getting protein. Roasted chickpeas are super easy to make and absolutely delicious. Yogurts milk and cheese for dairy will help. Peanut butter or other nut butters on whole wheat bread is easy, filling, and will probably give you 25% of the protein you need. Soybean products have a lot of protein so if you like edamame you have it settled. An egg a day is healthy. And if you eat fish, 3.5 ounces of salmon (a fairly small amount really) has half the protein you probably need. 80 grams sounds like it might be a bit more then you need. It's based on your weight so you should definitely look it up. Best of luck!

    Dark Chocolate is an acquired taste. It’s especially hard to choke down when your palate is destroyed by sugar! I went on a ketogenic lifestyle in 2020 and tried dark chocolate after a year of no sugar and it was probably the most delicious thing I’ve ever tasted.

    almost 10 year vegetarian here: you can get your protein from alternative meats. Beyond meat steaks i think taste great and they have a lot of protein bcs they're made from pea protein. Peas and beans are a great veggie protein intake (chickpeas, red beans etc). You mentioned eggs, there's also tofu (if you don't like the taste you can scramble it up and put it in a sauce, i use it to replace the meat in my bolognese sauce and it just soaks up the taste of tomato and herbs and stuff.) And peanut butter has a lot of protein in it as well.

    I relate to it being more difficult to meet people and make friends as an adult. My last roommate commented on it once. I'm 28, and he's 10 years older than me. He is heavily involved in book clubs, writing clubs, and language clubs. We lived together during the pandemic, so these were all online! But, that stuff isn't for everyone (like me). So here I sit, making friends at my office job and still finding it difficult to hang with them outside of work hours. I definitely feel for you in your occupational isolation ♥️

    The best source of zinc is oysters, but it's also plentiful in red meat and poultry. Other good sources of zinc include other kinds of seafood, nuts whole grains, breakfast cereals, and dairy products.

    raw tehini is great for adding some protein to your salad (its made out of sesame) there are about 3 grams of protein in a spoon . you can dilute it with some lemon juice and a tad bit of water which also produce more smooth consistency.

    Funny enough, as a fellow 30y/o I met a lot of my newer friends online. During the pandemic, I just played games and even streamed for a bit. I got to talk to a lot of great people and even made some great friendships. Surprisingly, met some of those people I met through streaming/gaming in IRL and we're great friends now. I think the tricky thing in your case is finding those people who are more "real" to you versus just being an omega ASMR Glow fan. But that's the beauty of the internet, right? You can insert yourself into a community without anyone knowing who you are unless you wanted to share w/ them! And I totally get the not wanting to socialize all the time bit. Tbh, I think most people our age understand. I have some friends I maybe talk to once a month or every other month, but when we eventually chat again we never miss a beat. Being an adult is hard. 😅

    Chickpeas, Amaranth, Quinoa, Buckwheat, fish, beans, nuts, fish and meat obviously, soy, milk, cheese, yogurt. Tons of stuff has protein. If you hate turmeric don't eat it, but if you like curry that usually has plenty of turmeric

    Hey glow! If you’re struggling with your protein intake I would suggest protein powder. You can mix it with foods like yogurt or you can just mix it with water/milk. There’s different types with different flavors. There’s vegetarian, whey, etc. I personally like whey and it’s around 120-150 calories for 25-35 grams of protein. It’s great to start the morning with since the protein will help keep you full!

    I like talking to ppl and making new friends. As an adult (41 now), it’s difficult to go from “nice shirt/hat/whatever”, then chat, then to “we’re having a cookout next weekend if you want to drop by.” A lot of ppl react like it’s some weird trap or something.

    Chickpeas, lentils, other beans (kidney beans, black beans) are easy vegetarian protein options.
    Making quiches with one of these, so you have eggs, all the veges you enjoy, lentils (or chickpeas/beans), maybe some feta (or other cheese option). Plenty of protein in that meal, plenty of veges

    I'm not a very social person either, but playing D&D helped a lot.
    Made a bunch of friends over the shared hobby. People that were once complete strangers are now people I would consider friends.
    I realize it's not a hobby for everyone, but I do recommend trying out a tabletop RPG with people. Probably start with some people you already know to lower the hurdle to get into it if you can.
    I was just a madlad and started with complete strangers. And it somehow worked out for me. Lucky me.

    I relate so much to what you were saying about trying to make friends at this age when you are an introvert and can't meet people thru work. I decided to try volunteering at a cat sanctuary to see if i could make new friends there. So far I've made no human ones but I've made loads of new cat friends!

    As far as working with colleagues, I highly recommend you and Maria GentleWhispering collaborate and let her do a color analysis like you mentioned once before! Also, if you both did hair brushing and scalp massages to each other, the videos would do very well! That would be a good start towards having coleagues. :o)

    6:20 as someone who has spent over a decade vegetarian, 6 of those vegan, and with prior certifications in both fitness and nutrition: you most likely are undermeasuring your actual protein intake. The only things lacking in any meaningful amounts of protein is fruits and vegetables. Grains and potatoes are often incorrectly vilified and they contain a good amount of protein per serving.
    One of my go tos is black beans- open a can and heat it on the stove with barbecue sauce. That's 25gs. Take some time to learn amounts different foods have. I have long told people that protein supplements aren't necessary for 99.9% of people, it'll save you a lot in the long run to just eat right and learning where your protein is actually coming from.
    And side notes: I think analyzing chocolate for maximum health past being dark is going overboard. I eat 70%, I love dark but going past that number won't really change anything. Just eat the amount you'll like with the least amount of sugar. As far as spinach and other greens, a giant mountain can get quite small when cooked, and taste better that way too. Honestly, it'll all get way easier the more you learn and apply.

    Since you’ve been getting into books again, I recommend: Percy Jackson And The Olympians, Game of Thrones, and The Alchemist. If not all, please try to do The Alchemist. It is the most spiritual book I have ever read and has touched my heart in a way that can’t be touched that often by things like books, shows, or movies. Until now.

    Pistachio, peanuts and stuff like that are healthy have protein and i love eating them as snack btwn meals idk if u are alergic too all them but u can try, pistachio are an addiction

    Peanut Butter is an excellent source of protein. Some proteins can be gained by eating things together, like peas with rice.
    As for as Chocolate goes, I'd start at 65% and gently work your way up, I got to maybe 85% and it was tolerable.
