Phoenix MCR with the best reaction! Only the first channel is allowed to broadcast commercials before 8 o'clock. The rebroadcasting channels, taking the feed from the first channel directly, couldn't know if there were commercials following, because the runtime was completely messed up already. Broadcasting commercials would have been an illegal transmission. The people in the MCRs might have had serveral heartattacks because of many possible technical and legal consequences from this mistake.
@@MarkPentler I really wonder which feed MDR and rb joined. If the one from Das Erste problematic (like SWR, HR) or the other direct one without problems (like BR, WDR).
Basically all of the channel's are supposed to simulcast the news program"Tagesschau" but "Das Erste" aka the channel on the screen in the middle fails to do so, so it shows a promo instead of the intro at 20:00. So in the studio and everything they had to reset so the channel could catch up so the intro for all viewers begins at 20:01 instead of 20:00 And on the end card it says " all rights to ARD (a german public service company)

I find it interesting that some affiliates/licensees got a completely clean feed, while some got a partially dirty feed.
Well, some got the feed from Hamburg directly, others simply copied the broadcast from Das Erste
