You are free to "identify" as whatever you want, hell if you want to sit in a tree and call yourself a drop bear go for it champ. So Danny, a minority "birthing person" felt bad because the language surrounding pregnancy did not reflect his identity. So instead of getting over it, he is trying to destroy all that language for women. He felt bad that pregnancy langauge didnt include a tiny minority, so his response is to make sure pregnancy language excludes the vast vast majority of pregnant people (women). Its not about inclusivity then, its about validating the (trans male and non-binary) minority at the expense of women.
Having seen the documentary, I appreciate how he was relatively polite and took the time to talk to people who he didn't agree with. Was interesting how he was presented as far less emotional than those who he was interviewing.

We also can only see what is in the bounds of the screen as well as what was kept. We do not see what happened off-camera and we have, by and large, his narrative to go by. Do you want another one? If sexuality is defined by the context of gender, wouldn't that mean that almost everyone is bisexual or at least non straight? I am a straight male, but if trans men are real men, then there might be a rare situation, where I might feel sexual attraction for a trans man, if that person still looks feminine enough, for example they haven't gone through any tratments or they don't even want to. Therefore, am I actually a bisexual? If so, I am ready to claim that almost all of us are part of the lgbt community, or to put it in another words, nobody actually is.

I had my own landscape business. I drove a truck and trailer, I wore work boots, I plowed snow, etc.... I was called a man many times. But, when I would come to my customers home in the spring to renew the contract, they would be shocked. My blonde hair was down, I did not have dirt on me (Clean), Heck I even had false nails on in the winter. They however, all knew I was a woman. They also knew that I am straight.

I can see that being an issue. Also, the terms that a certain group would like to replace women with have the same issue (according to their logic) that the term women has, none of them are all-encompassing. "Uterus bearer" leaves out women who have been born with a uterus or a woman who has had her uterus removed for medical reasons. Changing the terminology is unnecessary.

Part of the problem a lot of groups have is more and more people that have a small link to them get added, bringing in issues that impact the individual, not the wider group. Sydney is right females have different problems that trans women simply don't, but they still muscle into the conversations get told to piss off and then complain about being hated which then consumes the conversation and then no one is talking about the actual problem they started with. Also I was thinking about it, and "they/them" was always used to either refer to a group or a person you didn't know "hey who are they?" I've lost several friends from discussing this and discussions during the 'rona' time. Despite the fact that I went to med school and was a paramedic for several years (until it burned me out) whenever I talked about the actual medical science behind these issues I just got called a conspiracy theorist and a bigot. As a transex woman I find "changing the lexicon" incredibly offensive. I mean them doing it, not your verbiage (your awesome). The word is breastfeeding. I am transitioning in order to correct developmental defects. If someone tries to change everything about it suddenly my transitioning loses most of its meaning. What is happening is a few activists screaming really loud and giving people things they don't really want.
@@roguetrooperblue I think that any person should be allowed to live their life however they want (barring hurting others) so in my opinion adults should be allowed any presentation or way of being they want (alongside medical treatment with informed consent and a doctor who is on board). There is a problem if you try to force it on others. Being one of the non-binary genders including identifying as gender fluid (I should note a person can have some gender fluidity while still being a binary gender. ex: butch women) is quite rare (that is just statistics of population). And it is intentionally outside societal norms. With a person who is transex the person is trying to live as the gender they are, so after transitioning for the most part they just blend into society. Non-binary people either are very androgenous, which will raise eyebrows. Or look somewhat conformed to one gender or the other (quite possibly with a flare of rebellion from it). This is fine, if people want to do it they can. But they can't force other people to use preferred pronouns (freedom of speech exists, and yes per a number of supreme court rulings that includes hate speech). Nor is it ok to freak out when a person acts like they are the gender they appear to be. Condensed, they have the right to be however they want. They can't force anyone else to adhere to their gender identity rules. And they are going to have some difficulties due to the fact that they are clearly abnormal (this is a difficulty faced by members of any abnormal group; deaf people are much more prevalent for instance and they have substantial difficulties, even beyond the direct hearing). And they are going to face some challenges regarding gendered spaces (bathrooms specifically). If a person is generally perceived as male (regardless of sex assigned at birth) says they are non-binary and goes into women's spaces there is going to almost certainly be an issue. You can't just announce you are non-binary or genderfluid and get rights to whichever gender space you feel you belong in at that moment. Everyone has to respect the rest of society, and doesn't have the right to make them feel unsafe. If there is any confusion remaining please ask and I will respond if I get notified. Almost everything about this is super complicated to get all details due to how rare all of this is.

If you ask me a specific example of what to police or enforce I could probably give you an answer to that. Though for overall guidelines I would say it is something that needs to be handled very delicately as you give non-binary people their rights, without overriding the rights of the people around them, while creating a solution that doesn't violate the rights of the property owner (public/businesses would be the main place this comes up, in homes it is up to whoever's house it is).

And who can we include them in the gender conversation without denying obvious reality and basic biology? A good test is to take a term and add "you fucking" in front of it ex: "You fucking woman" doesn't work very well unless the recipient is a male who'd be offended by such an insult. I lurned about trancegender and sexual Identity in my last year of high school and I was ready to hear about those topics then. If sexuality is defined by the context of gender, wouldn't that mean that almost everyone is bisexual or at least non straight? I am a straight male, but if trans men are real men, then there might be a rare situation, where I might feel sexual attraction for a trans man, if that person still looks feminine enough, for example they haven't gone through any tratments or they don't even want to. Therefore, am I actually a bisexual? If so, I am ready to claim that almost all of us are part of the lgbt community, or to put it in another words, nobody actually is.

I had my own landscape business. I drove a truck and trailer, I wore work boots, I plowed snow, etc.... I was called a man many times. But, when I would come to my customers home in the spring to renew the contract, they would be shocked. I can see that being an issue. Also, the terms that a certain group would like to replace women with have the same issue (according to their logic) that the term women has, none of them are all-encompassing. "Uterus bearer" leaves out women who have been born with a uterus or a woman who has had her uterus removed for medical reasons. Changing the terminology is unnecessary.

Part of the problem a lot of groups have is more and more people that have a small link to them get added, bringing in issues that impact the individual, not the wider group. As a transex woman I find "changing the lexicon" incredibly offensive. I mean them doing it, not your verbiage (your awesome). The word is breastfeeding. I am transitioning in order to correct developmental defects. If someone tries to change everything about it suddenly my transitioning loses most of its meaning. What is happening is a few activists screaming really loud and giving people things they don't really want.

@@roguetrooperblue I think that any person should be allowed to live their life however they want (barring hurting others) so in my opinion adults should be allowed any presentation or way of being they want (alongside medical treatment with informed consent and a doctor who is on board). There is a problem if you try to force it on others. Being one of the non-binary genders including identifying as gender fluid (I should note a person can have some gender fluidity while still being a binary gender. ex: butch women) is quite rare (that is just statistics of population). And it is intentionally outside societal norms. With a person who is transex the person is trying to live as the gender they are, so after transitioning for the most part they just blend into society.
Non-binary people either are very androgenous, which will raise eyebrows. Or look somewhat conformed to one gender or the other (quite possibly with a flare of rebellion from it). This is fine, if people want to do it they can. But they can't force other people to use preferred pronouns (freedom of speech exists, and yes per a number of supreme court rulings that includes hate speech). Nor is it ok to freak out when a person acts like they are the gender they appear to be.
Condensed, they have the right to be however they want. They can't force anyone else to adhere to their gender identity rules. And they are going to have some difficulties due to the fact that they are clearly abnormal (this is a difficulty faced by members of any abnormal group; deaf people are much more prevalent for instance and they have substantial difficulties, even beyond the direct hearing). And they are going to face some challenges regarding gendered spaces (bathrooms specifically).
If a person is generally perceived as male (regardless of sex assigned at birth) says they are non-binary and goes into women's spaces there is going to almost certainly be an issue. You can't just announce you are non-binary or genderfluid and get rights to whichever gender space you feel you belong in at that moment. Everyone has to respect the rest of society, and doesn't have the right to make them feel unsafe.
If there is any confusion remaining please ask and I will respond if I get notified. Almost everything about this is super complicated to get all details due to how rare all of this is.

If you ask me a specific example of what to police or enforce I could probably give you an answer to that. Though for overall guidelines I would say it is something that needs to be handled very delicately as you give non-binary people their rights, without overriding the rights of the people around them, while creating a solution that doesn't violate the rights of the property owner (public/businesses would be the main place this comes up, in homes it is up to whoever's house it is).

A good test is to take a term and add "you fucking" in front of it ex:

I'm a tranceman (F to M), and I think these activities are carzy. I don't want these people standing up for my rights. They give trance people a bad name, and they make us all look crazy. I also don't agree about telling young children about trance people and sexual identity. I lurned about trancegender and sexual Identity in my last year of high school and I was ready to hear about those topics then. I never felt happy as a woman, and I'm naw happy as a man, I was able to experience being a woman and deciding I didn't want to be one. It wasn't forced down my throat, and naw all this shit is driving me crazy.
