I totally agree. Our cat helps us remember to not take ourselves too seriously. He makes my brother smile and my niece feel less lonely. He's the most important member of our household after my niece. We love him and can't imagine our lives without him.

I started crying as soon as I began watching this video. It's unbearable for me to watch any animal being in pain or suffer, and especially at the hands of so called humans. I don't like to wish any bad on anyone but I honest to God hope and wish that all those who willingly, knowingly and mercilessly inflict pain on these defenseless critters, whom we are supposed to care and protect, will pay heavily tenfold for all the pain they caused and inflicted on poor animals, if not in this lifetime, then in their next incarnation(s) or afterlife.

It seems that his dad really fell in love with him even before they met. The way the guys said, "I knew if he could get used to us, he would love me," was said with so much hope.
Not a Dad. Dogs deserve the respect of being treated like dogs, not replacements for kids we didn’t have or didn’t have yet. And this was wildly irresponsible. The money spent saving one dog could have gotten them a companion they chose because he/she was a good personality fit and paid the cost of running a shelter for a week.

It is better to adopt closer to home, yeah, but if they fell in love with this particular very needy dog it's still a good thing to take him. Most of us spend our money on less important things than this.

You said it perfectly! It was meant to be. ❤ he is perfect to me and I’d do anything for him. and now - his story is helping to save his other street dog friends in India. Stray Animal Foundation of India and Breath Animal Rescue are doing incredible work to get them adopted as well as get prosthetics and wheelchairs for the “permanent residents” of their sanctuary. They also work to feed street dogs as well as mobile spay/neuter services.
"Our lives are so much better because of him." His life is so much better because such kind, loving humans moved heaven and earth to make him safe and happy.
Poor little guy... he even lost one of his front legs... some people are just *so* disgusting with the way they treat those who are weaker than themselves. I'm so glad someone adopted this sweet baby boy.

We are so thankful to the whole team of people it took to save Indy. From the witness who found him to Stray Animal Foundation of India and Cornerstone Pet Clinic and Breath Animal Rescue for all of his medical care and fostering from his dad, Raju with Pet Luck. This video was 2 years ago and he is a very active healthy and happy boy now. Very talkative and protective, cuddly and loves to play and run on the beach. Just the best. ❤
Indy is such a little cutie pie!! ADOPT DON'T SHOP. we were very lucky to adopt a six month old puppy back in 2020 during the pandemic. he is just a sweetheart and he will be three next month. I will only adopt dogs or cats from shelters only!!
We like to think we’re pretty cool neighbors 😊 and Indy definitely makes a great neighbor. He may only have 3 legs but boy is he tough and protective of us! You can be sure no one will ever break into our house or a neighbor’s! Not on his watch! ❤

They can get him a Prosthetic leg once he's fully grown! Either way, I love people who go out of their way to adopt a pet long distance do to seeing a story! We adopted a cat from Alabama, and volunteers brought him to NY. ❤
So happy for your cat! So this video is a little old, we filmed this back in 2021. Indiana is grown and soooo active now! We tried 2 different custom made prosthetics and unfortunately he rejected both and just would not use them, even after months of trying. At first we were discouraged and worried, but he’s built up a lot of strength in that front leg from good exercise, so if he’s happier on 3 legs - then we’re happy too! ❤

I'm not a vet but I have seen other videos and they say that if you take that little stump off completely it will help him walk and run better. It is actually holding him back. Like I said I'm not a vet but perhaps it might help. You guys are hero's and your puppy is one of the lucky ones 💖
Again, not a vet, but the movement of his stump is throwing him off-balance, probably causing him to tire quickly and not be as mobile as he could be. It's why vets usually amputate the entire limb even if most of it is still viable (not infected or injured).
Thank you all so much for watching! So we tried 2 prosthetics but unfortunately he did not accept them/want to use them even after months of trying. We were discouraged but it seems he prefers life on 3 legs! We met with a surgical orthopedist because we also wondered if he’d be better off if we took the nubby. With the doctor, the conclusion we came to is that we’d be good parents to take it, but equally good parents to leave it. He doesn’t fall much anymore now that he’s stronger and has built up a lot of strength in his “good leg” (this video was made almost 2 years ago) so he’s grown a lot! It does throw him off balance some, but he also uses it to hug and hold toys and he absolutely loves to dig sand with his nubby (we live at the beach) so we were worried about the emotional impact of having it removed. I appreciate your comment and just know it’s something we have absolutely considered, researched, looked into and discussed. We aren’t ruling it out forever, we just aren’t 100% enough sure to do it at this age. He lives an amazingly active life and we love him SO much! You should see how big he is now! ❤

I’ve crawled through briars to rescue a puppy and through a 150’ drainage tunnel to rescue a cat…and about a year and a half ago rescued a tiny kitten who’s now a part of my family… “Cheeky”…but I’m not sure I’m as brave as you two…by going so far to rescue a puppy with special needs! We tried! Unfortunately Indy said “nope! I wanna be on 3 legs!” We tried 2 different prosthetics and he rejected both. Maybe when he’s older/calmer, but for now he’s happy and healthy (and super fast!) on 3 legs ❤

Indies are the best dogos ever. Zero maintenance, hardly get sick, tough, extremely loyal and will do anything to protect you. And will eat anything you will give them. All dogs are awesome, indies are just extra special.

I'm not a vet but I have seen other videos and they say that if you take that little stump off completely it will help him walk and run better. It is actually holding him back. Like I said I'm not a vet but perhaps it might help. You guys are hero's and your puppy is one of the lucky ones 💖

Again, not a vet, but the movement of his stump is throwing him off-balance, probably causing him to tire quickly and not be as mobile as he could be. It's why vets usually amputate the entire limb even if most of it is still viable (not infected or injured).
I agree. I know it must be hard but I think it would be for the best.
Thank you all so much for watching! So we tried 2 prosthetics but unfortunately he did not accept them/want to use them even after months of trying. We were discouraged but it seems he prefers life on 3 legs! We met with a surgical orthopedist because we also wondered if he’d be better off if we took the nubby. With the doctor, the conclusion we came to is that we’d be good parents to take it, but equally good parents to leave it. He doesn’t fall much anymore now that he’s stronger and has built up a lot of strength in his “good leg” (this video was made almost 2 years ago) so he’s grown a lot! It does throw him off balance some, but he also uses it to hug and hold toys and he absolutely loves to dig sand with his nubby (we live at the beach) so we were worried about the emotional impact of having it removed. I appreciate your comment and just know it’s something we have absolutely considered, researched, looked into and discussed. We aren’t ruling it out forever, we just aren’t 100% enough sure to do it at this age. He lives an amazingly active life and we love him SO much! You should see how big he is now! ❤

The tenacity of a dog and the compassion and love that you two have provided have allowed him to overcome his injuries. It looks like both your lives are better off because you went the extra mile to do the right thing! I’ve crawled through briars to rescue a puppy and through a 150’ drainage tunnel to rescue a cat…and about a year and a half ago rescued a tiny kitten who’s now a part of my family… “Cheeky”…but I’m not sure I’m as brave as you two…by going so far to rescue a puppy with special needs! As I said…”angels on earth!” Keep up the good work!!!

His cries hurt my heart. 😪Why are there so many cruel people these days? Thank God a couple with the kindest hearts took him in. And what a family they've become. So happy for the little one. He will be loved the rest of his life.

Indies are the best dogos ever. Zero maintenance, hardly get sick, tough, extremely loyal and will do anything to protect you. And will eat anything you will give them. All dogs are awesome, indies are just extra special.

That hurt my soul seeing and hearing that poor dog in pain like that. Thank God he was able to get help. I just think of all the ones that don't get help.. It just sucks. Thank you to everyone who rescues, fosters and adopts animals!! You are the people I admire!!
