    What a truly perfect film, even just watching your video about it made me start crying again! That last scene! Edward Yang was such a master, it is sad we lost him early but his work was unbelievable.

      I was trying to explain how good this movie was to my girlfriend (who hadn’t seen it) and when I described the last scene I burst out crying. It was pathetic 😂 What a movie!

    i recently watched it without knowing it was 4 hours long, and im glad. If i knew, i could have miss a truly masterpiece. Loved your analisis, and what you say its true, the director its a genius in the art of telling life, yiyi and eat drink man woman are mundane but beatifull and entertaining in a way only yang knows how.
