Love this film. It has excellent vibes, even with the heavy undertone, and the cinematography is beautiful. Easily one of my favorite films. The sense of hopelessness on top of idyllism actually gives me vibes similar to FLCL, the 2000s anime. Obviously they're from much different perspectives as far as subject-matter, but the vibe and gist is quite similar. I wish more of my friends would watch this film, but many will not due to the length. There's actually a great spot to take an intermission about halfway through, however.
Hi mate, just watched this movie yesterday and your editing really captures it! Can we have a chat about the movie and I also want to ask about your editing process, as I also want to try making my own after watching yours :D thank you!
Hello! Thank you very much for the kind comment! Sorry for the late reply as i have been busy with other activities. And about my editing process, i usually grab full mp4 films from ok.ru, and then use the editing software such as Filmora X to slice specific parts of the film. If you want more details, i will gladly respond.
@@amoviekid Thanks for your reply! When I tried to edit, I had some problems with selecting the music, slicing the parts and putting them together with the music,... and it took me like forever to finish just a 2 mins video haha. Can you share more on your work process and some tips for a newbie like me? Thanks a lot!
@@HuongNguyen-lg2xf I'm very glad to! With the music I usually use a site such as an mp3 downloader to get it from spotify or youtube. And when I finally got the audio and the full movie, I first go through the movie in the editing software by dragging the timeline so I can cut off the specific parts I wont use. Then after finishing cutting off all the unnecessary parts, I then match the clips i want to use with the beat and length of the music. The most important things i learned from making these videos is the overall flow of the video. I always make the clips in a different order from the movie and use more underrated shots, and I also try to make sure that it drags on the right amount (3-5 minutes is my ideal video runtime with a single movie edit). But this is just my basic work ethic, you can be able to experiment with these different elements or start with small videos like mine, I used to make videos that try to emulate the same formula of other channels, but eventually was able to find my style. And for a bonus, if you found a full movie on TH-cam with good quality or want to make a montage or a compilation (I'm making one right now for the top 250 Letterboxd) I highly reccomend streamable.com since you can trim a specific part of a very long video without wasting a lot of data. Hope this advice help, and if you have any more questions I will gladly respond. Wish you good luck, and thank you very much for engaging with my video.
Such a beautiful film, despite the subject matter. I've been looking for a video showing appreciation for the visuals for ages, so thanks for that :)
Wow, thank you!

Its giving Ghibli live action
Yeah it definitely gives oftentimes.
