    Introibo Ad Altare Dei (pseudonym ;D) joins the show to give his very personal insight into a priest who saw apostasy in Rome before anyone else.
    It is a personal look at the priest who should be a legend.
    His blog can be found here: introiboadaltar...
    One of my favorite podcasts yet.
    Hopefully you enjoy it as well.
    RIP Father DePauw
    AMDG!

    Fr. DePauw was a brilliant man and a true Priest who never strayed from the True Faith. I attended Mass at the Ave Maria Chapel in Westbury NY my entire life. Both my children were blessed to be baptized by him before his death in 2005. He was right about everything he said about the evil VaticanII sect.

    God bless you gentlemen! People like you, Mario, Griff, Steve and the people at WM Review give me hope in this disgusting world. Hopefully Introibo's site gets the recognition that is due with more holy people added to the Church as a result. Introibo is a rock solid humble individual who does make sure he is right before he presents anything. Nothing off the cuff from him in his wonderful captivating articles. Thank you Kevin Davis for giving these great men an opportunity to make themselves and their motives better known to us! The clergy are vital but during the first centuries and now it is a few courageous laypeople who are the glue that are largely responsible for keeping the faith alive and tangible in our lives.

    I think we all listened intently to see if we could discern the identity of your guest, Kevin, by his voice, especially the oldsters. :)
    Your guest needs to write a memoir. What a great consolation it would be to the faithful.

    May God bless you both, and I pray that one day, Fr de Pauw will get the proper recognition as a hero for the Faith of the first hour. I'm not actually a sedevacantist, but every week I look forward to Introibo's posts, some of the most insightful and hard-hitting content one could hope to read in these times.

    Father DePauw was pastor to two of my most holy friends. Detective Dave M. of Sussex Co. NY and Firefighter Tom G. FDNY who was killed on 9/11 WTC 1. From a SFFD Retired fireman and traditional RC. Thank you Sir. I will follow your blog. Te benedica.

    Very refreshing. I used to have an album of Fr DePauw’s back during my reversion back to the faith around ‘80. So far I’ve heard most of this TH-cam and am surprised with all that he said about the NYC Archdiocese there was no mention of Bishop Sheen whom I had the pleasure of meeting when a boy. With all his enormous influence he could have moved mountains for Catholic tradition.

    I dropped a course in Catholic (?) high school giving the reason that the teacher was basically teaching Marxism; but they made me change it. This was in the mid-nineties.

    Correction: As Father DePauw indicated in one of his sermons, which was played today, the 16th Sunday after Pentecost, at the Ave Maria Chapel, Archbishop Lefebvre stated at a press conference, " I am not a traditionalist", so to put Lefebvre, who put his first chapel, out of anywhere in the world, in the town next to the Ave Maria Chapel, is a huge misnomer and an insult to the great Fr. DePauw, he stands alone, till today.

    • @arthurhowardpl
      @arthurhowardpl ปีที่แล้ว

      Fr. Depauw liked to call everyone a “Johnny come lately” and did not want to cooperate with the Lefebvre priests. Fr. Kelly was supposed to say his first Mass at his chapel but Fr. DePauw suddenly changed his mind.

    • @taxfree4
      @taxfree4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@arthurhowardpl They were johnnie come lately as Fr DePauw was the first and only priest, backed by Bishop Blaise Kurt, the only bishop, to fight for Traditional Latin Mass. He saw firsthand what was happening at VII. That is why the Ave Maria Chapel was the only place on earth the Traditional Latin Mass was being offered when it opened. That is why the "johnnie come lately" Lefebvre, out of all the places on earth, decided to open up his garage right in the next town, he saw the crowds and figured he could cash in. Kelly used to sit in the front pew at the Ave Maria chapel to observe Fr DePauw offering the Mass just to learn how to do it properly. BTW, Kelly was NEVER going to offer mass at the Ave Maria Chapel I know that from first hand knowledge.

    • @arthurhowardpl
      @arthurhowardpl ปีที่แล้ว

      @@taxfree4 There is an obvious pattern of isolationism within the chapel as is evident from the condition the chapel was left in after his death. There’s a bizarre spirit about the whole thing - “because we were first we are set apart”. I know first hand Fr. Kelly was supposed to offer his first Mass there.

    • @taxfree4
      @taxfree4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@arthurhowardpl The only pattern is that these johnnie come latelys have fallen by the wayside while the Ave Maria Chapel is still going 54 years later. We are set apart because, unlike the rest, no scandal has ever attached itself to the CTM or Ave Maria Chapel. As far as Kelly offering mass at the chapel - IMPOSSIBLE. As early as 1966 Fr. DePauw met with Lefebvre to which the bishop stated he declined to accept a position or to give any public support to any traditionalist group. Again, in 1972 Lefebvre met with Fr DePauw to wage an all out attack on Pope Paul VI to denounce the pope as a man "doing the work of the Anti-Christ" to which Fr DePauw walked out of the meeting. In 1975, while Kelly was still in the seminary, or supposed to be, Lefebvre was ordered to close his seminary and was ordered by the pope, through Cardinal Benelli, in 1976 to refrain
      from ordaining priests to which Lefevbre ignored and in that same year was suspended from offering mass or administering sacraments. In 1988 Lefebvre, despite being warned not to ordain bishops was excommunicated, with those bishops, 13 days after doing so by Pope JPII and the pope further ordered ALL priests and lay people to leave Lefebvre, and his society or consider themselves excommunicated. So to think that Fr. DePauw would allow anyone into the sanctuary, who has been excommunicated, with a sketchy ordination, to offer mass is not only false but is bordering on looney.
