Awesome job, Matt! It was actually comforting to see an experienced runner not have a super easy time ALL the time. It’s just a good reminder that no matter how experienced every run and every day is different for everyone!
I love that you recognised this in the vlog 😀 He makes it look easy if you’re watching him run but speaking to him was showing me how tough he was finding it. That was my favourite medal 😊🦄🏃🏻♂️
Matt, you have absolutely everyone behind you, you're incredible! Thank you for validating run/walking! I run/walk always due to chronic pain and I still manage to run half marathons by doing this. I'm still a runner :)
This was an epic watch! Felt knackered for you Matt, but full respect to you buddy, and Lucy, great crewing I think you deserve at least some of the unicorn medal 😂. P.S. I hope the rehabs on track.
This was such a great video! Thank you for stressing the importance of run-walk 🙏🏻congratulations to Matt on accomplishing such an amazing feat 🎉 and you for being such a great cheerleader for him during your injury recovery. You both are the sweetest couple ❤
Go Matt! You guys are a great team, supporting each other and showing up for each other. Long runs like that are like getting a shot of Ozempic, your hunger hormones are suppressed and your hormones telling you you're full amp up production. Glad he was finally able to eat!
Thank you! 😀 Oh my goodness, that’s such a great way of putting it. It’s just like that! I was over the moon when he started eating better, I was so worried before 😬😅
Amazing video Lucy, really enjoyed watching yours & matts time there, thanks for filming. What a champ Matt is, mind blowing how well he’s done so far.. everything crossed for you to get back out running soon as well x
The way you talked about Matt made me want to cry lol I can tell you love and care for each other very much. You are a lovely couple ❤️ Wonderful job, Matt! I would never! 🤣
This is such a brilliant vlog! Well done Matt and to you Lucy for being his support person! Can’t wait to see part 2! I would love to see you both do more running vlogs together. My husband and I have started running together more since he caught the running bug off me 😅 And can totally relate to feeling of being sick when trying to eat after running a long distance. It’s horrible. X
Thank you so much! 😀😀 Fingers crossed my injury heals so we can get out together, I love vlogging with him 🙌🏼 I love that he’s caught the bug of you!! 🫶🏻
Matt is a machine! Wow wow and just wow! I can’t wait for the part 2. Well done to you too Lucy for doing such a great job as his support crew, team work and big Kudos for you both. Ps I hope you’ll be running soon yourself x
Great video Lucy! Way to go Matt! 🎉 Excited for part 2. I loved the Unicorn trying to run in Crocs. 🦄 Is it the same course for all 10 days? Can you change up your route at all? Hopefully Matt is physically fine and recovering well. 😀👟🥳
Wow this was exciting.I am sorry for the struggles in the beginning, but it made the whole video like an redemption arch or something :-D All the best for the last 5! I also think it really shows that Matt is not "super human", but he is willing and able to "do" things or to keep going even when things are not in this favor. Very inspiring 😀
I don’t think either of us were expecting that kind of redemption arch to happen but I’m so happy it did 😅 Thank you, I love that’s the message this vlog gave you ❤️🙌🏼🏃🏻♂️
Not a silly question 😊 He took two pairs and switched each day. His thought process was he thought the cushioning of them were coming back better after a day of non use. 🤔
That's incredible! I seriously have no interest in running 50k certainly not 50k everyday for 10 days! Matt did have me worried when he came through on his first lap so fast at (vlog timestamp) 6:53 though! 😵
Poor Matt, having Lucy stick the camera in your face all the time, lol... seriously though, thanks for taking us along for the ride. You are a super star!!
with the hunger but no appetite dilemma, I find this after any long run. I think your body is used to being in constant motion for over an hour that it convinces you that you can't consume anything solid. I feel nauseous when I tried to eat something solid after a long-run.
Let's GOOOOO, Matt!! 🗣😛😎🔥🏆🫁🫀💪👊🏃📸🏴🇬🇧 I can't imagine how I would cope with trying to recover and prepare in the same set of hours! Or, right, just doing this at all, and doing so well! Getting a medal each day has to be a boost! Look at those! My son and I are now tuning in from across the country from one another (because we took the 1700 mile+ journey last week and got him to university)! You two are so great! 🥰 Love the laughs! Keep those up! 😄 Thank you for the point on the walk bits actually helping for a better time. I am going to have to use that when I do my first 10k (trail run, benefitting Veterans in my part of the world) in a couple of months. I think I'll have to anyway because part of that is up the side of a mountain and the elevation gain is gonna be a big challenge. Does Matt have a check-up scheduled for that hip? 4hours 44mins for your FIFTH DAY?!?! If you need to, ignore all my comments, just know I am THRILLED for you both and am SO EXCITED to see those last 5! Thank you, Matt, for getting in the camera so much and offering so much real time experience insight. Thank you, Lucy, for doing these for us!! Again, you two are the best!
Let’s goo! 😀🎊 The daily medals were so good and I reckon a great boost for Matt. They were some of the best quality medals I’ve seen 🫶🏻 Ah thank you so much for your kindness and support!! 🙌🏼❤️
Thank you for joining us for Matt’s new challenge! Let’s cheer him on in the comments 🎊
Awesome job, Matt! It was actually comforting to see an experienced runner not have a super easy time ALL the time. It’s just a good reminder that no matter how experienced every run and every day is different for everyone!
Also that unicorn 🦄 medal was awesome!!
I love that you recognised this in the vlog 😀 He makes it look easy if you’re watching him run but speaking to him was showing me how tough he was finding it. That was my favourite medal 😊🦄🏃🏻♂️
Go Matt, go!! 💪💪💪 The only fact that you are there at the starting line of this challenge makes you a winner!!
Yes! I love that! 🙌🏼🏃🏻♂️
Matt, you have absolutely everyone behind you, you're incredible! Thank you for validating run/walking! I run/walk always due to chronic pain and I still manage to run half marathons by doing this. I'm still a runner :)
You absolutely are a runner 🙌🏼😀
Wow, just wow. It puts my first marathon in April of this year to shame. How is he not tired? Unreal. I’m so excited for part two.
Your marathon in April is JUST AS IMPRESSIVE! Matt agrees with me so I must be right 😂 I can’t wait to share part two 😀❤️🏃🏻♂️
This was an epic watch! Felt knackered for you Matt, but full respect to you buddy, and Lucy, great crewing I think you deserve at least some of the unicorn medal 😂. P.S. I hope the rehabs on track.
Thank you Scott! 😀🏃🏻♂️ Matt has treated me to the new Harry Potter Conqueror Challenges and I feel like it’s more then I deserve 😅🪄
This was such a great video! Thank you for stressing the importance of run-walk 🙏🏻congratulations to Matt on accomplishing such an amazing feat 🎉 and you for being such a great cheerleader for him during your injury recovery. You both are the sweetest couple ❤

Matt is a freak of nature. 🤯 But I mean that as a compliment! Lol
😅 The best compliment you can give a runner! 🙌🏼🏃🏻♂️

Great video Lucy! Way to go Matt! 🎉 Excited for part 2. I loved the Unicorn trying to run in Crocs. 🦄 Is it the same course for all 10 days? Can you change up your route at all? Hopefully Matt is physically fine and recovering well. 😀👟🥳
Thank you! 😀 There were two routes. A shorter one of around 5k and a longer one of around 5.3 miles. They patterned it out through the 10 days.
Wow this was exciting.I am sorry for the struggles in the beginning, but it made the whole video like an redemption arch or something :-D All the best for the last 5! Wow Matt you are doing amazing!!🎉🎉🎉🎉❤❤❤
😀😀❤️🎊
Silly question, as I cycle not run, but do you switch out shoes each day? Do different shoes help decrease foot pain?
Not a silly question 😊 He took two pairs and switched each day. His thought process was he thought the cushioning of them were coming back better after a day of non use. 🤔
Yes Matt!!! 🎉
😀😀🙌🏼🏃🏻♂️
You guys are so fun
Thank you! 😀😀
That's incredible! I seriously have no interest in running 50k certainly not 50k everyday for 10 days!
Matt did have me worried when he came through on his first lap so fast at (vlog timestamp) 6:53 though! 😵
It is a bit of an excessive goal isn’t it 😅 I was so worried on the day! He paced himself so poorly on day one 🤦♀️😆
Poor Matt, having Lucy stick the camera in your face all the time, lol... seriously though, thanks for taking us along for the ride. You are a super star!!
😂😂 He said yes beforehand and so it’s his fault 😆 If he’s never on the channel again we will all know why! 😅 Thanks for joining us! 🙌🏼
Hi Lucy. Can you please tell me who this challenge is organised by?
The couple who organised this event are due to retire but I think it is being taken over by Runberlieveable.
❤❤❤
❤️❤️❤️
🐝
Well done Matt for stepping up and getting in front of the camera... What's harder for you running 10 ultras or being a vlogger?!
He said vlogging! 😆

Ah it sucks doesn’t it 😫 I’ve always felt like it’s supposed to make me hungrier but never seems too 😅
Is there a way to contact you? I already tried Instagram.
I checked insta and can’t see a message on there? 😬
@@lucyshawvlogs have you checked “Requests”? I sent it July 29 from “mschaub”
