Pro tip: since a rune of shattering gives you a random affix from the item, if you want a very specific thing, use a rune of removal first on all of the affixes. That way you are guaranteed to get every affixes shard on said item.
number of shards maybe, but your guaranteed that affix. With a shatter rune you are not. Check out Perri the Pig's video on it, he's a long time LE player and does way more theory/build crafting than any of us combined. You use up the removal runes until out of forging potential, THEN you shatter it.@@TeriiTeri
Of note - every act focuses on a certain resistances. It is really worth it to craft that resistance going into that act. This will make you sooo tanky. E.g. Early on you get to an act where all the mobs do void damage. If you craft some resistance to Void before going into that act, you will feel very tanky during the levelling process of that act.
Personally I would wait till you have a build in mind before using all your mats all willy nilly. For me once you get your mastery at around lvl 16 and pick the one you will be doing it with. ( void knight "Devouring orb") There is a lot to learn about crafting and what you can do with it. I would wait till you are done with the story before you start to go all out using mats.

Note: You can add extra affixes to grey, blue, and yellow items to bring them up to 4 total (2 prefixes and 2 suffixes). Open affixes are useful for being able to add exactly what you want, providing there is enough 'forging potential' to do so.
Great info here. I've been watching a lot of crafting videos to see if there's any little hidden gems, and this is the first one that has explained the possibility of only getting partial value back when using a rune of shattering. Also, the hint about sticking a large item into the forge when you're short on inventory space is something I haven't seen anyone else mention. Great tip! Keep up the good work. Liked and Subscribed.
you should edit, the rune of shattering offers a chance to return the shards, it doesnt' return all shards used on item, like your example it returned 3 types of the 4 it had :)

I'm sorry, but I completely disagree with buying up all the Runes of Shattering and breaking down all those crappy low tier items with low tier affixes. Breaking down an item with only 2 affixes and only T1 or T2 affixes is going to get you only 2-4 affix shards. Wait until the mid 50s when you start getting items with 4 affixes and T2-T4, you'll start getting a lot more per rune used. Wasting all your money on Runes early is going to make it hard to buy enough stash space. I have tons of affix shards and plenty of runes, and didn't throw away all my gold. You can get to level 30 so fast and be so overpowered the entire way that wasting money on crafting that early is silly. Sure, upgrade your gear with any affixes that have dropped along the way, but using Runes of Shattering that early is a waste.
@@bravexheart7 its an amazing game; but waiting 5 mins to teleport, random server disconncts, and items not being able to be picked up sometimes makes online almost unplayable. Lost my 1st Unique to a combination of the last 2
ALERT: runes of shattering do NOT give you back all affixs. Its random. Note when he shattered the chalice with heath is did not get that affix shard back. He only got 3 out of the 4 back
This game looks way better when you watch it on TH-cam than when you actually play. Also I have just discovered they added new bugs recently ie. my Primalist Druid becomes invisible to me after Spriggan Form expires. In combination with the bug which sometimes your character doesn’t attack despite holding a proper button it made my game unplayable xdddd I have to be able to see if I’m even fighting or not. This game should not be in 1.0 in this state. It’s embarrassing. I hope they fix it enough before people lose interest. Just like Wolcen died.

Im using some loot filter i downloaded and i aint finding crap. Im at lvl 47 now after the online battle. Servers seem to be alil better tho at least. Im doing the same build

Questions: If an item says it has 18 forging potential and the forge button says "requires 10 forge potential" and i try to forge on the item but the button is greyed out preventing me from doing so. What is the cause of that?
I could be wrong, I just started playing the game yesterday, but I think that is player level needed to be able to forge? If I’m wrong, hopefully someone else will correct so I know the answer to. 😅

It’s got TAA for anti aliasing so even at moderately high resolutions such as 1440p it’s still gonna look a bit blurry in some areas and that’s simply an effect of the TAA most likely
My compliments to all who participated in the making of this game. One thing only. They when you craft something, the item must turn back to the slot automatically! I forgot my wand in the forge for 2 hours 😂😂
The thing that turns me off from the game so far is the moments of laziness I feel from cut corners. Like, for the early campaign you couldn't make any cinematics? Doesn't get me super invovled in the story as much as you'd like me to be with just NPC's with a still picture and half of them dont have VO's.
I don't feel like that is laziness at all. It's a choice they made as to not waste resources on something as trivisl as a cut scene. The main target group of games like Last Epoch and PoE just want to grind and blast, most of them don't care much about the story, let alone a cut scene.

you just have to try, I have been playing since launch, yeah I have had some downtime in town, but if you actually have patience it's not that bad, I just keep trying the next area, and eventually get there. Not had any issues today so far.

Take a close look at the Bears that you encounter. Note the name and symbols on their side. :)

does it save the tier of the affix? or is that random when applied?
TBH im not 100% sure. But using the shatter rune, you aren't 100% guaranteed the shards for the affixes it has@@appo8557

Literally just craft phys resistance since most of the dmg is physical, per Terek's recommendation

7:51 you can get 0 shard from shatering, not 1 minimum

There is a scroll that when equipped it will change the affix that you choose to upgrade, maybe you accidentally equipped it before reforging?

Check your resolution
Increase the sharpness use Nvidia control panel if needed
It's not blurry to me at all maybe check your video resolution It tends to change itself sometimes
