Leonardo Balaguer Hi Leo, I hope you are well brother and that COVID19 is not impacting too severely on you. I’m in Northern Ireland and we are greatly blessed by our situation health wise. But spiritually our health is poor. It’s very sad to see, but not unexpected, that this land of mine which is so steeped in the Christian gospel, has become so cold towards the Lord. We like most countries in the West have embraced a secular paganism that has little or no time for Christ. We pay lip service to godly morality and the Church has little impact on society outside of the believers themselves. We pray for our UK government leaders to have Godly wisdom and we know that they are appointed by Him for a season but we have seen abortion on demand, “gay marriage” and of course corruption and self- interest at the heart of our government and I fear we have the society that we deserve. I too love the prophecies held in Gods Word and I too can see what is coming. “ Do not be deceived, God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows....”. And yet there is too a strange comfort and peace in seeing the way society is going. We can see the fulfilment of prophecy, the truth of the gospel and the coming of the Lords return, ever closer. A time for boldness in speech and more importantly in action. The COVID19 lockdown gives a time for self ( and national) reflection on what really should matter for all of us. May God bless you and your family. I am not a Seventh Day Adventist and know little of their core beliefs although I have a good friend who belongs to that denomination. I celebrate Sunday as the Lords Day taking my lead from the early post Pentecost Church. I am in no way having a go at any follower of Christ who believes that Saturday is the Sabbath, indeed I would accept that Saturday is the OT Sabbath. Leonardo Balaguer Hi Leo, I hope you are well brother and that COVID19 is not impacting too severely on you. I’m in Northern Ireland and we are greatly blessed by our situation health wise. But spiritually our health is poor. It’s very sad to see, but not unexpected, that this land of mine which is so steeped in the Christian gospel, has become so cold towards the Lord. We like most countries in the West have embraced a secular paganism that has little or no time for Christ. We pay lip service to godly morality and the Church has little impact on society outside of the believers themselves. We pray for our UK government leaders to have Godly wisdom and we know that they are appointed by Him for a season but we have seen abortion on demand, “gay marriage” and of course corruption and self- interest at the heart of our government and I fear we have the society that we deserve. I too love the prophecies held in Gods Word and I too can see what is coming. “ Do not be deceived, God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows....”. And yet there is too a strange comfort and peace in seeing the way society is going. We can see the fulfilment of prophecy, the truth of the gospel and the coming of the Lords return, ever closer. A time for boldness in speech and more importantly in action. The COVID19 lockdown gives a time for self ( and national) reflection on what really should matter for all of us. May God bless you and your family. I am not a Seventh Day Adventist and know little of their core beliefs although I have a good friend who belongs to that denomination. I celebrate Sunday as the Lords Day taking my lead from the early post Pentecost Church. I am in no way having a go at any follower of Christ who believes that Saturday is the Sabbath, indeed I would accept that Saturday is the OT Sabbath. What if you lost faith point blank, stop me from ending my life
The message of the gospel is that God is Sovereign over everything and that in Christ Jesus we have hope that we have the victory over death. Only Christ gives us hope because only Christ conquered death and promised eternal life for ALL who put their faith in Him as their Lord and Saviour.
