Honestly this parades fits DCA better than Disneyland theming wise, but this parade LITERALLY fits better in Disneyland. Basically all the IP’s in this parade are represented in DCA in some way.
Missed a trick with Rapunzel surely in a light parade... you know... that princess with glowing hair

What's new/different:
•Mike's finally moving!
•Ariel's father moves too.
•Frozen Float Missing or gone...
•Fairies moved on the back of the Rapunzel and Cinderella float (or you know).
•Pluto gone or missing.
Frozen is gone and is so is Pluto!
the whole top of the little mermaid float is removed

Not since the 80's has the music been this rockin with Donalds catchy 50th birthday celebration parade and Disney World's 15th anniversary - both now on TH-cam for the first time. Check it out!!
Incredibly modern with the lights changing on the dancers and floats constantly and great nod to the Electrical Parade music infused in! Bought the owl song - why arn't all the soundtracks available for purchase.
with the amount of floats on its first (and only run) in California Adventure during its opening night, the units were almost as based on Hong Kong Disneyland's Paint The Night
for the first 2 months in Disney California Adventure, but with a few slight adjustments and changes, the toy story float happens before the princesses float and the princess float is after toy story, with some different characters

Interesting. In the 2 months that this video was loaded nobody has noticed the elephant in the room. I'm speaking of one of the Cars dancer's abruptly walking ahead of his troop then another fellow dancer walks up to investigate. We see dancer #1 kick off some lighting gadget from his foot then proceeds to stand there and wave till a cast member saves them. This officially falls into those "Things that go wrong at Disneyland" videos.😅
His costume was malfunctioning and he was trying to alert the stage manager for that particular segment.
If you look he/she is speaking into their arm piece to alert the stage manger/control room.

This was really interesting and I noticed it right away. The dancer crosses his arms to indicate a problem, but the stage manager can't see it. Poor guy. It was cool to see the other dancer help him out and then take up his place in the choreography.
It was awesome when I was there!

It was taken off because of the trolley wires in California adventure and if the float was a whole the wires could break so when the parade returned they took the top of the little mermaid float off so it can fit

I think the foat was way to tall
Yeah It is too tall and doesn't fit due to the cables located in Buena Vista Street, I think they didn't modify the cables because maybe the parade won't stay at DCA after the pixar fest ends, it wouldn't generate a great attendance just look the parade's premiere at Disneyland and compare the reaction of the people on the premiere at DCA.
not to mention they need to make room for the incredibles float

1 obvious, 1 kinda obvious, 1 very not obvious. The Frozen unit is removed for the Incredibles unit, the Frozen unit was too high for the trolley wires. The Little Mermaid unit's rooftop was removed too, too high for the trolley wires. And then Slinky's Head can't move anymore, because if it does it can cut the trolley wires.

So they hacked off the top of Little Mermaid float, and completely got rid of the Frozen float... meh..

Why can't they let a good thing be? Since they had the stupid idea of moving this parade to CA, they had to modify it for the worse. Only thing I was looking forward to for this silly "Pixar Fest." Oh well, back to WDW it is...
So removing Frozen and removing the roof of the Little Mermaid float ruins the entire parade for you?
MegaSoulHero Well, since those were two of my favorite floats, yes it kind of does. It was perfectly fine in Disneyland, which is why it was annoying. Having the parade and fireworks together complemented each other nicely, but to each their own.
Having Paint the Night, Fantasmic, and a new fireworks show proved to be chaotic for the 60th anniversary, so they wanted to avoid the same crowd control nightmares by moving it to DCA to try and balance it out.
You do know that the parade will have a new float added, the incredibles, which is not gonna be presented until the week of the incredibles 2 comes to theaters. Yes, it’s a bummer to not see the frozen float height due to the trolley wire.
Man you seriously can’t please everyone. It saddens me how so many so-called Disney fans complain about the Pixar Fest changes.
