- Tennessee Baseball and Missouri Baseball played the first game of a doubleheader and second game of their 3 game series that opened up SEC Conference play in the 2023 College Baseball Season.

One of my favorite accomplishments is revolutionizing the way sports channels create thumbnails. I started making them with team logos on the left, and a game snapshot on the right, and I’ve gotten almost all of my video views with that style.
I have a combined 4 years of experience as a Baseball & Basketball Play by Play announcer, which is where I learned my skills for commentary/breakdowns.

Classless program at UT…the kids follow their leader and he’s a terrible example for those guys. It’s an obvious balk move that the umpires usually don’t see but got to be a little better than that to get away with it. Never loved to see a program lose as much as UT 🎉

We both said when things tend not to go their way they start complaining and poor body language and thats true, even dating back to last year...they have to learn how to handle things not going their way instead of going the easy route which is complaining.
Ummm, catcher interference *IS* a reviewable call. It should automatically be reviewed when protested. The replay was clear, too; there was no contact with the catcher's glove.

Vitello ejected over a correct balk call. 5:25 Burns lead knee lifts up first. It's a really quick move, honestly surprised the umps caught that. Maybe the UM coaching staff asked them to keep a close eye on his move ahead of time.
How does one turn 180 degress without moving the lead knee?

@@thirstypilgrim97 Its called the balk move. You make a slight move towards home plate with the front leg by buckling it as if you were going to slide step, and then you pick off. It is a balk, but its so subtle that umpires usually don't see it and you can catch overeager baserunners lacking. Honestly a great call by the umpire but it sucks that it had such a big impact on the game.
@@thirstypilgrim97 The pitcher either needs to step "directly toward" the base they're throwing to or they have to disengage the rubber first. It's not possible for a righty pitcher to throw to first directly without disengaging. Since he moved his lead leg before disengaging he could have stepped toward third & thrown a pick off to the runner there, but not to first base. That's a balk - runners take a base.

The umpires may hate Tennessee but for good reason. Tennessee has zero class. The umpires shouldn’t go off of emotion though. Tennessee baseball is like watching a drama movie
Yea The Vols are a bunch of babies but the umpire was so unprofessional. Head Coach asking about a balk and all the ump does it walk away ignoring him and not giving him an explanation that's being a wimp by the umpire.
I arrived in hopes of seeing two things: one, to see Wheels spit out another gem and two, to see Tennessee get abused like a red headed step child. Was not disappointed
