In my mind Nick is one of the goats man. No doubt about it. Smashes number 1's, get's people in the crowd kicked out and hits tweeners on the regular.
kygrios has so much potential and only managed 13th place at best, and thats a long time ago, now he is 40th. give him the mentality federer, djokovic, nadal or murray and he would have been competing for the top spot

Well Nick is one of the fans of Roger so he does respect him and Roger respects almost every player on tour.
Actually I think Federer started to lose respect for Nick after he started taking tennis even less seriously.

Most talented players win big tournaments. Kyrgios is Top 20 level talent, maybe Top 10 but certainly not Top 5 quality.

He's a servebot. He hasn't won any clay tournament. His serve is truly elite, so is his net game and touch but his groundstrokes are not top 10 level, neither is his defense, footwork or court coverage.
If your definition of talent is just serve, volley and dropshot then yeah Kyrgios is top 5 but that's not what talent means.

Given the timing I think it was to do with the bad calls - this match had so many corrections, the linespeople really weren't on form

Alexander Kings no in the context of the whole match he was referring to the line judges. I believe this came after a controversial call.

Kyrgios has outstanding talent. Probably top-5 with respect to that. Loosing his temper though has cost him too many games. Luckily not this one.

Fed was mad as hell all day. I remember him saying it was a close call whether to play this tournament or go to a personal event, so he was not happy about travelling for this result
The same happened in Rome 2014, when he became the father of his sons. You can tell in both times that his head wasn't there.

I wish he just would like the sport more. Its crazy how someone can be so good and still not like it very much, but i totally get him. I also didn't like tennis at all at one point because i kind of forced myself to play so i stopped playing gor a while. I slowly started playing again but not for the purpose of being good but for having fun, i think that's what gets you the most motivation. I bet Kyrgios could be or could have been number 1 if he just learned to harness his talent.

After the laver cup match in 2017 when they met again in 2018 at Stuttgart pretty sure Kyrgios could of have one that one has well but couldn’t get it. Also Kyrgios has a winning record against Sasha on the atp tours leading 4-3
