You Sir have one of the best, cleanest, most tasteful set up's out there, balanced yet bad ass. 4Runner of the year in my book. Thank you for sharing, Sir, I salute you.
I watched a car review a few years ago by this guy named Doug DeMuro and he said in his review "The Toyota 4Runner is total garbage! This thing is so ancient it doesn't even have Apple Car Play, this monstrosity won't sell." Here it is almost 2023 and I see that they are still selling quite nicely, I think I will go put a deposit on a TrdPro! Thanks, Doug, you sold me on this rig!
That color was the 2020 TRD Pro color. You can now get it in a couple lower trim levels but you can no longer get it in the TRD Pro which this one is trying to look like since he changed the front grill, exhaust, and rear valance.
Beautiful rig! One thing…. Re-plumb your air tank with a tee in/out and a drain valve on the bottom. Your tank WILL fill with water over time reducing the actual air capacity and cause a ton of other problems. Absolutely love this build! Well done.
Love almost everything on this truck. I have several of the same after market add-ons and would love to get more of what he’s got. I will say I’d love to see this truck actually using some of those cool mods off-road. 🤞
Absolutely LOVE it! My wife and I want to get her a new one since she just graduated college and she wants this model and color ha ha If only she wanted allll the rest! A++ build!! Beautiful
Sweet setup. Just subscribed, hope you can get around to uploading more videos for inspiration. I just bought a trd offroad and I'm ready to start spending some paychecks on her.
Nice T4R. I am glad to see you upgraded the gearing with the 315 tires. I just replaced my 275 with 285 on my 2015 ORP and the gearing feels about maxed out.
Hey, amazing car, thanks for showing. I know you sold it already but… what is the feeling driving this car in highway? Can you help describe how is it different from driving a complete stock 4Runner TRD OFF ROAd? I just got one and I’d like to build it the way you did but I am afraid it would ruin the way it handles in paved road. Specially me, I am on the aggressive style driving in paved roads. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated
Good heavens. This thing is like the ultimate 4runner. Looks incredible. I’m poor so I’d have to just stick with the cheap TRD PRO trim but yeah this is tall cotton right here. Excellent work and great taste. 👏
Very nice rig. Hope to see some future videos of this thing on a trip. On and off road would be appreciated. Gorgeous build though, congrats 🎉. Side note, should you consider a cap for your air compressor hook up? It’s facing forward, so could it get all gummed up when you need it from the mud/snow?
Nice rig. Only correction is the Gobi Roof Rack is a stealth rack and not a ranger rack. The ranger rack is much taller. Just pointing it out incase anyone wanted to spec their 4Runner out like yours. And they wait 14+ weeks for the wrong Gobi rack
It is mounted to the inside of the fender on an SDHQ mount near the brake master cylinder. I had planned to run a power tray and mount it there but the intercooler reservoir took up that spot.
Absolutely stunning build. If it came in a standard I would have bought one. Ended up with a 22 pro tacoma. Really wanna supercharge it as well and was curious if you thought it was worth the money?
@@overisland22 yeah I did get the 6 speed manual which already comes with a bit better gear ratio and I won't be tossing any huge tires on. So I'm hoping i wouldn't need gears and it would increase the value of the truck. Not expecting a rocket ship just want some real truck power lol.
@@dillonlamb8588 check into an OV Tune. I had a 2018 stick shift Tacoma with 285’s and a bunch of extras. The OVTune increases the redline by 500 rpm’s and boosts power a bit.
All around it is great. I tried OME rear springs and they were very stiff comparatively. Also tried Icon rear springs and they lifted it way higher than advertised, although did ride well. The toytec superflex rear springs are pretty fantastic
No KDSS, I got the black hood bulge on eBay as a whole kit for about $120, was easier than going to Toyota and ordering the ~12 different parts needed for the swap.
Thank you for walking through the build….I like how the finished product isn’t overbearing….did you use an off-road specialty shop to do the work? A good general mechanic shop? Curious…
Thanks! I bought it directly through SSO. I originally special ordered one and was waiting about 12 weeks when they dropped their hybrid bumper, which is only configured one way and is available for shipping immediately. So I changed my order so that I could immediately receive my bumper.
My goodness!! If I went to a shop and ask for the same build I’m sure they’ll tell me that’s the executive build 😢 and I couldn’t afford it lol Love the build! Can I ask how much the suspension cost? I’m getting an estimate of Bilstein 5100 front, 5160 rear, SPC uca, front and rear medium load springs, with labor is $2650 plus tax installed. Falkens AT requested is $1250 plus tax for all 4 mounted and balanced. Total : $3900
Thanks a lot man! The base toytec 5100 lift was 1k, icon uca about 800, bump stops front and rear about 500. I did the install myself so no labor. 3900 for all that sounds pretty good.
You got to be rubbing with 285’s on full flex. Need a BMC and pinch weld hammered in to clear them off road. You think the super charger is worth the 10g ?
Wowww, thats freaking impressive!. I'll be honest, I don't know 90% of the things he mentioned, but dayum it looks nice. How much did it cost with all the mods?
Thank you. I have them set at the bottom setting since I have the toytec coils on there. With the additional weight of the winch and front bumper I wouldn’t hesitate going to the second setting and I have more upwards travel I can go with the CV angle too, just haven’t needed more height.
I did. I didn’t order them with the rack but found the gate wouldn’t go all the way open on its own so ordered a few months after I installed the ladder and worked perfectly after.
Nothing and I mean nothing could stop this man from getting to Costco
😂 😂 Sometimes I pop a curb at Whole Foods
Don’t hate dude. It’s a garage princess 👸
How’s that Chevy Cruze doing for u Bud?
This has to be the best 4runner setup
Thank you!
If you sold this 4runner I literally found it for sale in my area! I had to come back to this video to confirm, it looks great!
Super clean and tasteful. A lot of builds are just wallet show-offs, but this one is all business. Well done, sir.
Thanks a lot. I appreciate it.
Second that! Best I've seen.
The air compressor routed out to the bumper is sick! oh and of course, the super charger.
Thanks man!
That air connection in the front doesn't get covered in mud or dirt?

Thank you very much, I truly appreciate it
Disabled veteran? I thank you for your service, bro. Great rig.
Yes sir. 20 year retired. Thank you.
All business, no bullshit. Dream build.

I want my 4runner to grow up just like this one!
That's a hell of a way to spend a $100k
Love it!
Wow...bravo! Great list of mods. "Oh, BTW...it's supercharged and has all new gears." 😳
So much functional utility on your rig. It looks very clean and professional and polished look.
Wow! Super nice build. Very cool.
Overlanding adventure= the place where stock Subaru can drive through.
Although, this thing looks amazing.
I have seen Subaru's go crazy places in Colorado. Thanks!
Do whatever makes you happy as long as bills are paid, food on the table😊

That is a fair observation. Didn’t think of that. Thanks!
Perfection !
Best build !
Amazing job Man !
Thank you!
🇺🇸 AWESOME! Front end is sooo clean!
Thank you!

This is definitely my favorite build as of today!
Glad you like it!
Man that is a beautiful build. That color is amazing
Thanks man, hard to beat Army Green
You killed it on this build so dope!
Thank you very much
5-MPG Never Looked so good!
Cleanest 4Runner build I've seen.
Thanks a lot, I appreciate it
Absolutely LOVE it! My wife and I want to get her a new one since she just graduated college and she wants this model and color ha ha If only she wanted allll the rest! A++ build!! Beautiful
Super clean and fully loaded build 🫶🏽
You already know
I used to be a 4Runner guy but now I have the JL 392. But damn bro this is SICK!
Man I would never get rid of that 392
Super clean man, all I'd say is cap that air chuck to keep the dirt and mud out. 🤙
Good call!
Sweet setup. Just subscribed, hope you can get around to uploading more videos for inspiration. I just bought a trd offroad and I'm ready to start spending some paychecks on her.

Thanks, I appreciate it!

Very nice!! Don't think id want to take it down a dirt road!!
Absolutely incredible build dude. So clean.
Thanks a ton!
I wanna work what you do to afford those 2 beauties :') lol Clean 4Runner . loving the green
Awesome ride man.
Damn!!! Dream built!
Nice mall crawler exactly how I would spec it
That thing will last forever and it’s looks are classic. Great job!
not anymore because of the modifications. That supercharger will cause headaches in a short period of time.
Thanks man, 4runners are hard to beat
Absolutely Gorgeous!
Thank you!
Nice build. Mine is similar minus the SC. After looking into the SC for much time. I am finding a lot of ho hum for an extra 9K.
What a build!
Thank you for sharing your awesome runner brother! I have the same model and looking to upgrade it and it is good to see different builds.
Amazing build 👏
Man what a sweet build, nice job sir!
Thanks a lot man!

Where did you get those rear window decals? Thanks
It would be so hard to decide between this and a 22 Wrangler 😅😅. This is a sick ride in a sick color.
Thank you!
Thats clean💯🔥
Thanks!
Looks stunning. I thought they had the front facing camera to aid with 360 degree panoramic view for this particular year and model.
Unfortunately they don’t. Certainly should!
Beautiful rig !!
Beautiful

good setup!

Thanks, I wasn't sure, thanks for correcting. Definitely the stealth rack. And they definitely take a while to show up!
That thing is awesome
Thanks brother!
Bad ass Perfection.
This might be a stupid question cause I don’t know anything about cars but can you add a second gas tank to this somewhere?
I was like meh, till he opened the hood lol. Beautiful rig.
Thank you!
Very nice build!
Thanks!
very clean and well done. Where is the switch pro tray mounted, I did not see it by the batter?
It is mounted to the inside of the fender on an SDHQ mount near the brake master cylinder. I had planned to run a power tray and mount it there but the intercooler reservoir took up that spot.
So perfect!
Thanks!!
This rig is cleannnnnnnn
Thanks man
You’re living my dream !! Salute 🫡
Fantastic. Cant imagine the cost
Put about 30k into it. oof
very nice truck. super pricey build!
Absolutely stunning build. If it came in a standard I would have bought one. Ended up with a 22 pro tacoma. Really wanna supercharge it as well and was curious if you thought it was worth the money?
Did you get a stick shift? Honestly I don’t think the supercharger was worth it. I got more gains from the gear swap
@@overisland22 yeah I did get the 6 speed manual which already comes with a bit better gear ratio and I won't be tossing any huge tires on. So I'm hoping i wouldn't need gears and it would increase the value of the truck. Not expecting a rocket ship just want some real truck power lol.

How's the ride quality with the Bilstein's and Eibach springs? The big seller in 2015 when I got my T4R was the Toytec Boss.
All around it is great. I tried OME rear springs and they were very stiff comparatively. Also tried Icon rear springs and they lifted it way higher than advertised, although did ride well. The toytec superflex rear springs are pretty fantastic
Beautiful 4runner, beautiful man😘
Would you say with the regear and supercharger, you’d be able to keep up/ or even pass a 5.7 tundra?
Would be close off the line. Highway the T4r would take it.
Where did you get the hood scoop black out? Did it have kdss?
No KDSS, I got the black hood bulge on eBay as a whole kit for about $120, was easier than going to Toyota and ordering the ~12 different parts needed for the swap.
Man thats a dream build.. Amazing. Would you mind sharing the approximate cost to turn a trd into something like this
I put about 30k into it, oof
@@overisland22 I think it is worth it. How about a rough estimate of how much you spent for the exterior details on the outside of the car?
Can you still go the speed limit on 75 mph highways with the 4.56 gears? Maybe even 80?
No problem to go any speed a stock 4Runner goes
Where did you get the black insert for the hood?
eBay as a whole kit. Came with the plastic push pins, gasket and hardware. Think about $120
Nice!
Thank you!
bad ass nice job
Any problems with the super charger?
Awesome build! What did you use to trim out viper cut?
Awesome 👍
Thanks 🤗
Thank you for walking through the build….I like how the finished product isn’t overbearing….did you use an off-road specialty shop to do the work? A good general mechanic shop? Curious…

where did you buy the slimline bumper at ? thank you great ride

Good setup there. Did you run the superflex rcc2.0-P or rcc2.0HD-P in the rear?
None hd

@@PaulVang yes. Sorry. Autocorrect.
Best looking 4R I’ve seen.
Any issues with the KDSS and the lift?
I assume a BMC as well?
Very very nice!!
Thanks! No KDSS on this guy, and yes it has a BMC.
@@overisland22 lucky!! (No KDSS). Up here in Canada all the TRD ORs seem to have KDSS. Like it or not.
Beautiful job.
how is the rpm at 70mph? on the HWY. 2800? it must be a monster. ha. careful. don't break it! ha.
I honestly don't remember, sorry, but that sounds about right, might be a bit on the high end. I sold the 4runner shortly after I made this video

I’m on 315’s! Already have a BMC and pinch welds are hammered. 8k cause I installed myself but no, it’s not worth it.
Do you get better fuel mileage with the different gear in the differential ???
That made a huge difference in both acceleration and fuel economy
Wowww, thats freaking impressive!. I'll be honest, I don't know 90% of the things he mentioned, but dayum it looks nice. How much did it cost with all the mods?
A bit north of 30k into it
any problems with the needle bearings from the lift in the front?
None. I’ve done the ECGS bushing on a few Tacoma’s I’ve had but this one didn’t need it.
slick
Beautiful man. Is your job hiring btw? 😂
Did your grill guard effect your sensor?
No. All TSS functions intact.
Dope

I did. I didn’t order them with the rack but found the gate wouldn’t go all the way open on its own so ordered a few months after I installed the ladder and worked perfectly after.
Yeah, that's what I heard too after installing the ladder the stock one will sag and won't go completely up. Thanks
