There's nothing worse than people who act like tipping should be mandatory and give you attitude when you dont tip. I used to be a bartender, so I always tip, but its definitely out of hand. I was grateful for anything I got and didnt take it personally if it was nothing. The only place I feel you have to tip is uber eats or something when they are delivering your food with their own cars. Thats why I never use that service.
My local coffee shop always asks for a tip. Funny thing is whenever I used to tip my barista in the past they would make the coffee wrong each time. I stopped tipping and my drinks are fine now.
I had a man ask me if i wanted to give a tip at the drive thru pizza hut. By the look on my face he immediately said, they make us ask. Lying his a$$ off. If you don’t go sit your grown a$$ down somewhere. The answer is NO!
WOW!!! WOW!!!! I used to work in the restaurant industry and the tips really helped me when I went to school. Right now I still tip😊 when I get good services.
I heard they’re trying to increase wages for tip workers in certain areas, but I think they’re just going to charge more for the food to make up for it.
Then they harass you while you’re eating. I had one guy kept walking up trying to be server the hero and it ruined my date. Every time I went to talk to my date he would walk up. I had private things I wanted to talk about but couldn’t because every time I look up he’s standing there.
Lately I've noticed they want you to tip at the counter for a pick up order. You'll sense a weird vibe from her or they'll look at you funny. I'm like hell nawh lol. Every restaurant a tip box at the counter, that doesn't mean you have to tip, especially for a dam pick up order.
If I worked at establishments like this , I would honestly feel obliged to tell people not to bother when the tipping screen came up. I'm not sure if I could get away with that ... but , I would try. I would feel embarrassed really. I wonder if there's people out there that feel the same. I dunno.
I get it no one liked being gouged for tips. It berries you get mad at the worker, understand that tipping is how companies make customers pay their workers wage. It exists in America because we pride ourselves on giving the rich tax breaks and not making them pay living wages.
it's a trust issue for me when asked for a tip prior to receiving a service or product. if the server/ business doesn't approve of the tip or no tip then I'm concerned about the quality or lack thereof for that sservice/ quality....it's a whole fear tactic
Maybe the people in charge should work less on raising minimum wage and more on making sure ALL jobs are getting Minimum Wage. If they gotta depend on tips this desperately they cant be getting minimum
I don’t agree with tipping. But due to the pay scale that waitresses get paid $2.13 an hour those are the only people that should be paying anybody else is making minimum wage or more than two dollars an hour shouldn’t be tipped. It’s simple. Added tipping is from the great depression that was a way to keep business owners afloat because they could not afford to pay workers so they begged the general public to compensate their wages and they won and that is why waitresses get paid less because of restaurant lobby no other reason

I only tip at restaurants and to food deliveries only. Not for pick up orders or walk up service. Over it!
I always give a good tip when I get good service.
they're adding it to jobs that don't pay tip wage, that's crazy. only servers and delivery people for me
Yep. Forever and always, ask questions.

Why are people not mad at employers paying tipped wage? Working for $3 an hour is ridiculous to begin with. Especially in 2024.
Why take the job. Force them to heighten the pay because restaurants NEED servers

My husband and I hate this tipping culture! We stopped going to certain restaurants or places because of it. Great video like always, YT! 🙌
Guilt tipping a practice as old as time itself
I enjoy tipping, especially ones who work out in the weather, learned who NOT to tip 😊

Even our DT cashier has a tip cup out now

90% of the people talking don't tip period for nothing🎉
not sure why i have to pay you 10-15% for brining me a drink and my food. I can do that myself. I tip, but it’s still ridiculous.

Haven’t paid tip in almost a year. Just eat at home! This is ridiculous in this inflated economy!
No more tipping from me you already raised all the prices no thanks
