I think part of the issue was running the ball is that their splits are super tight on the offensive line.
Damien Martinez is fine it’s call patient he has great vision they rotate and they didn’t need him to comeback in that’s why he only got three carries
I was a RB you dont want every rb to be exactly the same. Martinez has a run style thats very annoying to defenders. Plus he's 230 with speed as you saw. Then comes in Fletcher the Juggernaut. Lyle is smooth, Aj is twitchy and fastand strong, Johnson is the flash and Lofton who does it all. Dawson has more weapons than the guy we traded for Britney Griner in that room !

The reason usf lost is because when they were down to the wire and trying to push the ball downfield quickly, they couldn’t pass worth a damn. If Miami shuts the run game down like they should, it’s going to be like how teams against us last year didn’t trust tvd to connect on the pass and just stack up in the box. Our linebackers are very good so the scramble plays should be contained for the most part, and with that I think our team is more than capable of covering a 17.5 point spread and then some

I wish people would look at what defenses are doing when they speak about the running game.
If defenses are going to stack the box with 8+, why run? Make the defense loosen the box and then run.
Our offense can do what the defense gives you. Let the defense pick the poison. There is nothing more frustrating for defense than trying to stop the run and get lit up through the air, then loosen up run stop support and have them run all over them.
The problem with the line on run blocking is that they are straight up as if they’re pass blocking on run plays and their splits are to tight, which is causing a traffic jam. Go Canes!
Again, I say, Cam must stay in the pocket and pass more. Hopefully, there is a defensive front good enough to challenge the Canes during the regular season and force him to so I can know they can do it. Chances are the games change in the playoff, assuming they make it
