Actually, as we said specifically in the video, the one with the sleeve was missing the o-ring and the one with the o-ring was missing the sleeve. Neither of the 2 Chinese guns we tested was a complete gun with all parts present.
@@partswasherupgradekit6028 I guess you need to watch your own video a little closer :D th-cam.com/video/NGEtNs8QWpw/w-d-xo.html You take the SHINY gun's air jet apart, it has the red sleeve. Then shortly after you remove the nozzle and show that it is the one with an Oring also. The non shiny gun had neither... Then you proceed to state the Shiny one didn't have the sleeve when your disassembly showed that it did.... Since I had just bought the Eastwood gun, your video made me a bit nervous, so I disassembled my new gun, I can confirm the Eastwood chinese gun does infact come with both Oring and sleeve. The thread tolerances aren't perfectly tight, but they definitely aren't awful either. Alignment seems good as well... Maybe they have tuned their manufacturing a little in recent batches. Don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to say your gun isn't better by any means, just that the Eastwood one isn't awful like many of the other chinese models.
@@Applesupnorth Apple - The film was edited in clips and the guns and parts moved around a bit during the process (red sleeve orifice on top at one point, on the bottom at another). Further, why would you say our gun (the non-shiny one) was missing both parts? Why would we show our gun if it was missing parts? - we assemble it from the parts to make sure it is complete :o). Sorry you weren't there to see it in real time. It would be exactly as we said it was. Each of the Chinese (shiny) guns was missing one part. Dropping the mic on this issue here. We are glad that your particular Eastwood gun was not missing parts and was reasonably well aligned and the thread engagement not too bad. @@partswasherupgradekit6028 Firstly, I never said your gun was missing the parts... I stated the non shiny chinese model was... which is EXACTLY what your video shows. Thank you so much for this extremely informative video. I’m just getting started with sandblasting and found this hugely useful. P.S. I will be buying my stuff from you when the time comes, thanks again.
I’m sorry all I hear about is someone upset about the Chinese guns needing some ptfe tape to tighten up the threads and winding the lock but further up the thread to not over exaggerate your “point” and a o ring worth pennies.
Interesting that you left out the biggest problem, the misalignment of the orifice with the nozzle. No quick fix there. Just trying to inform people of substandard products. Why spend good money and then immediately need to make repairs?
Yes - boron and other metal nozzles do last longer but can cost up to 10x the price. Most guys prefer not to invest that much money in a nozzle. regards
The nozzle is definitely a wear part and easily replaced. The body of the gun (handle portion) is a place where the speed of the media slows down and so wear in this area should be pretty limited. Never heard of one 'wearing through' . Interesting question -thx

We sell three different sizes of gun. The smallest requires 6-9 CFM at 60 PSI. More air up to a point, is always better. If you can get to 12+ cfm you are in a great situation to shoot a wide range of media and grit size. Hope this helps. Thanks for your question

@@partswasherupgradekit6028I sent out an email today, didn’t hear back, looking to buy some orifices and possibly an entire gun without the metering valve or tubes. Let me know if you are selling just those parts please, looking to order ASAP.
Correct. The trigger mechanism adds great inefficiency to the gun (see our other videos). Also, the trigger can tire out your hand - not very ergonomic. We sell a foot pedal to control the flow of air - much better way to do it. Regards
The Eastwood gun is probably Chinese. So sorry you bought these cheap knockoffs. Since we uploaded our video we have received many similar comments. We can supply quality parts and get you up and running. Reach out to us at partswasherupgradekit@gmail.com Regards
Chinese production quality (ALL quality is a deliberate CHOICE) tends bad because the workers don't care because their bosses don't care. Passing parts which decent manufacturers would scrap reflects normal Chinese manufacturing when not held accountable by customers. Siphon feed guns are extremely simple unsophisticated tools but that doesn't stop them from phooking them up.

Excellent question. Due to huge demand for our kits and limited supply of our guns, we have not been able to list them separately because we want to be able to meet the demands of people wanting the full kits. But here's the good news. We recently had a major resupply from our factory partner and will be listing them separately and in smaller kits in a matter of a few days. So we will be able to provide one for you. Appreciate your question. Happy blasting !!
With all due respect, I don't see a horror story except in the clickbait. No criticism of your gun or the design but if one spends $5 for a cheap Chinese made gun you'll likely get one worth $5, buy a US made gun and valve for $100 one should expect to get a better system. Harbor freight bought and sold on price rather than quality, so if one bought from them, they got what they paid for.
Don't disagree with you at all. Our point was that the harbor freight style gun sells for $20 and the Chinese knock-off sells for $50 and is offered by major US companies. Hence the potential inference that it is of good quality. Thanks for your comment. Best regards
Understand where you are coming from but in this case, if the cheap knock-off doesn't work or works poorly, then it is just not worth the cost. It's not like a box wrench that may work for a period of time unitl it breaks under a higher load. These blast guns work with small vacuum pressures. If the gun is missing parts and poorly cast, it just doesn't work. Regards
So buy the Chinese gun for the housing and buy a nozzle from these guys. 😂. Joking joking. But I do believe for something so simple the cost is outrageous and why there is a Chinese market for them.
Glad I bought my whole kit from you.. Because it had crossed my mind to buy all the stuff cheaper and build the kit myself..
We are glad that you did as well. Happy blasting !!
