That was perfect, when u do the videoing, it's got that real, comfortable, engaging quality. And oh how yummy is Ponza, thanks for taking me there. We have got such a precious World. Please be safe out there, because not everybody is as nice as us. Ok!!🌈🇦🇺🐳🌟
Ponza is so stunning! It gives the illusion the houses were there first and the rocks formed around them. So cool and magical. 😊 The water was crystal clear and inviting. Is the white rocks a formation of limestone? I agree John with your teachings. These boats are way too close for my comfort. Eli should get herself a BIG stick when standing on the bow cause that would look more threatening than hands on hips. Lol 😂 Stay safe and looking forward to more adventures!
Hey Mango, thanks for the comments again. I don’t think the very white cliffs are limestone as that is not so pristine and you get it dissolving away like in the Bahamas. There may be a lot of Silica in it as our dramatic white beach es in the Whitsundays are silica. Really need a geologist yo tell us... DOES AYONE ELSE OUT THERE KNOW?
you can use your dingy and go to the caves if you are a licensed captain. Charter companies do not own those waters but can get you a fine if you are not a licensed captain which I believe you are. Most do not know that. The reason they don't want just anyone going in there are because so many have got caught in there at high tide and the wind was blowing straight in and they have to rescue those who do not know.
Interesting - not sure that is well known. By licensed captain I presume you mean commercially licensed, not just certified competent (ICC)... I do not have commercial licence.
@@barefootdoctorssailing8567 Certified works if they acknowledge that certification. You might just have to show that to their local office and they will approve you. Nobody owns the water they own right of way for there area and so your ICC should be good. They don't want anyone going in at wrong times and seeing on news someone died. Or maybe you have to get a permit form them which means its only about money.
@End: Loved the Ep and Cap's Tips!! Well, at the end the Cap says, avoid sun!! We Indians always advise to go out in the sun!! What is the advantage or benefit??
Lucky you! Yes Dark shin is protected by the melanin against sun damage and skin cancer but I was referring to white skinned folk that get skin cancer and wrinkles from sun exposure. Where we come from in Australia 2 out of every 3 people get skin cancer and I did a lot of work cutting them out. The benefit from the sun is that it creates Vitamin D but you only need about 20 min of tropical sun or 30 mins further north to get enough. But if you’re getting a boat, bring unsble to get out of the heat is unpleasant so get proper sunshades (100%)!
Then, I welcome you to my hometown.. Then, may be after a walkthrough of our culture and the sculptures, you too will be one of us.. Hahaha.. Love you, Doctors!!
@@SGudur Where do you live? We are visiting India for a few months after Christmas and are looking for guidance on the best places to visit! Any advice?

After all the troubles with the burnt out boat it is great to see you happy and enjoying life again. You earned it! Thanks for taking us along 🙂

Thanks Karlene! It’s is a great place and hard to show on camera how huge the cliffs are. Eli does great cinematic shots...

😀 Very informative explanation on how to check if the other boat is too close!!🤣🤣🤣
Glad it was useful
The anchoring interlude and "hands on hips" with a grimace was funny and very informative. Can't wait to view your anchoring video.
Glad you liked it and hope it is useful...
Amazing scenery! You two do a great job sharing all the gorgeous places for us! Love the hands on hip tip lol!

The pose of the Admiralty. What navy did Dr.Eli serve in?
She did drama and stage work (dancing) - very strict training like the Admiralty!

Often its money and sometimes power (officiousness). Either way, a poor refection of that section of humanity...
monohulls swing different than catamaran do. better to anchor next to similar boat style.
HI again DC, often getting any space is problem so you don't have the ability to choose who you anchor close to...

I have a sneaking suspicion you could convince Dr.John to do pretty much anythimg, within reason.
Wow, thanks for all the comments Thomas. We've missed a few!
