I’m travelling to Germany next year and found this useful. I think I will have to book a fair way in advance for the Brussels leg of my trip. I have been told by a retired Eurostar employee that you can book up to 6 months in advance but, don’t know about deals so I will have a word at the Ticket Offices nearer the time,
Thank you! You can get an overground train from Midi station that will take you to Brussels-Central, or alternatively a few stops on metro lines 3 or 4. Both take a similar amount of time. Midi isn’t quite in the city centre, but it’s fairly close.
Very enjoyable well made & informative video. Although it can be more expensive than flying, I think it is a more enjoyable & civilized way to travel to Brussels?
Thank you - glad you enjoyed. Eurostar is definitely the more enjoyable and civilised option - it saves you the worry of getting to the airport and all the waiting around. If you consider the additional costs of getting to the airport (parking, trains to airport etc at either end) then the Eurostar might actually work out cheaper if you find a good deal.
You are required to choose a seat when you book. There is no additional fee to change your allocated seat. Trains can get very busy, so I'd always stick to the allocated seat.
I'm not a travel agent, nor do I claim to know much about visa requirements. However, the UK is not in the European Union or the Schengen free travel zone so I'd highly doubt this visa could be used in Belgium. I'd recommend looking on the Belgian or Jordanian authorities' website for more reliable information though - hope this helps!
We travel this route quite frequently (will be on it again this coming Monday). We're always impressed by how efficient, quick, and quiet it is. I was particularly interested to see how the expensive seats compare. A bit more padding (not especially bothered about that); less queuing (a definite perk!) at the start; and a free meal (I'm fine with buying a sandwich at St Pancras). So... we'll keep using economy :)
I've bought mines today for £39 each way, so £78 (the lowest cash price possible) for Jan 2025. I think you need to buy early and also avoid peak trains otherwise they get very expensive.
I do like the Eurostar. Living so close to St Pancras is even better for getting into Europe.
I'm travelling to Germany next month and found this useful 😊
Glad the video was useful!

Just for info - you do get a light meal in Standard Premier.

@@juneevergara7947 Nice, enjoy your trip!
Does the train station in Brussels have an area to hold luggage for the day ?
Yes, it does. There are plenty of luggage lockers all around the station.
Do have reserved seats? Or you can just seat wherever in standard class?

I definitely agree - it’s a great route, but even Standard class is expensive enough…
I just bought 2 x same day round trip tickets London-Brussels for €44 adult €32 child one way + €5 discount, totalling €147 for November 2024 😊
That's a fantastic deal! Eurostar fares really do vary like air fares, you seem to need to book them well in advance.
