From what I heard. Even if Kyle gets to 100, Gibbs wants him to do more Xfinity races….. Incase if you ever see Kyle race in Xfinity after winning 100 races, blame it on the Coach. And I love Kyle, but I’m not a fan of cup drivers in the lower series
Can we talk about how back in these days rookie drivers semi regularly contended for wins. The competition was arguably harder back in those days than it is today too, yet, now-a-days, it takes rookie drivers years to get their first win and even after that they aren't consistently fast.
I mean it is easier for rookies to win in this series compared to cup. You have to think it was also easier with not only hours of practice on race weekend but the fact these drivers were consistently testing at various racetracks through the week too for seat time
@@joshjarnagin3161 I'm not even talking about Cup, I'm talking about NASCAR as a whole, trucks, Xfinity and cup. Look at guys like Riley Herbst, Noah Gragson, both Burton cousins, Justin Haley, etc. All these Xfinity guys that are being primed to go up into Cup can't even reliably run well in Xfinity. If you wanna talk about just Cup, look a generation back to guys like Austin Dillon, Ricky Stenhouse, Matty D, Chris Buescher, Erik Jones, Daniel Suarez, etc. All these guys going up in the ladder today and in the last few years haven't reach anywhere near the level of rookies from 15-25 years ago. Rookies in 2020 and this year I can have a little slack for since there is no practice, but there's no excuse for these guys that were rookies from 2019 on back.
Higher number of competitive teams and a more level playing field back in these days, more parity. This is the kind of level of competition Nascar wants to go back to instead of the same 3-4 teams dominating every week like it is now and has been for years lately. Less of a learning curve between the divisions too back in these days. Trucks raced very similar to the Xfinity cars as were the Xfinity cars to the Cup cars, just slower. These were back in the days the Xfinity series would see 15+ different winners a year and the Cup series was seeing near 20 different winners a year. Now they're lucky if they achieve half that amount.
Once he gets full sponsors he will stop winning , he’s winning right now because Rick Hendrick is Throwing away Hundreds of Thousands of dollars supporting Kyle Larson and NASCAR is helping Team Hendrick to offset Hendricks spendings $$$$$$
This race is one of my personal favorites of the Busch Series. That was a wild finish. I still have it on tape and I sometimes pop it in the VCR every so often.
Pontiacs still raced in the Busch series in 2004 even though Pontiac pulled support in the Cup series. Busch teams with less funding still had Pontiac bodies leftover or bought from other teams and opted to use them for certain tracks. These Pontiac bodies even survived into 2005 in the Busch series and Mike Wallace drove a Pontiac for Daytona that year before switching to Dodge.
You can bet ill be there all weekend its only an hrs drive from my house .i got weekend triplets .tickets to all 3 races ....my pick in the trucks is john hunter nemecheck..in xfinity kyle bush and in cup denny hamlin
Ah yes, back in the day. When we had a Marines car, a Navy car, an Army car, an Air Force car, a National Guard car, and a Coast Guard car. And now they could add a Space Force car too. I mean, since we’re already wasting billions in taxpayer money, we might as well spend it on racecars, right?

Edit: Made a mistake saying Kyle Busch was 17 instead of 18.

Yeet!
Heck, I would've made a fantasy IROC race there, but I don't have the time for that.
A description of an obscure Busch series race from the mid-2000’s?
Inject this into my veins.
As someone who has never seen a Nashville race I can’t wait for this weekend
We must time travel to tell 2004 Mike Joy that the Bowyer kid is going to be his coworker😂
Ha ha ha yep
If Kyle Busch had won that race he would be at 100 and be "done" in Xfinity

Didn’t Bowyer also get 2nd in the cup standings in 2012?
Yep.
Yes, he did.
Was just going to say this.
Yes but he still was the best non Hendrick car in 2007
One of the last races you seen Pontiac, Dodge, Chevy and Ford's together in a race. Miss Pontiac and Dodge
Top 4 drivers: all wreck going for the win. Michael Waltrip: Surprised pikachu face. Certainly a memorable finish.
9:38 What about 2012?
Seeing that FOX running order display brings back so much nostalgia. I miss that era of NASCAR!
Happy I was at this race! Glad NSS is back!!
Me too
this week’s race at Nashville is gonna to be intense.

So in an alternate universe, Kyle Busch would have won his 100th Xfinity race this past week.
