@@DocHogan they are pocket hole screws. The big flat built in washer makes them perfect for holding down without having to put a hole through the piece. You can also get shorter “washer head’’ screws. Same thing and works great
No it does really well like this. With dust collection on the chips are not near as bad. This was a beta machine before the dust collection parts were complete and ready. We don't run a rail on both sides because its near impossible to get them exactly in line with each other. It is much better to have it constrained on one side this way. The dual Y motors and endstop homing allow you to get the machine perfectly square and the motors keep it that way really well. It truly is an awesome machine!
@@NorthWoodsCustomCreations Спасибо за ответ! Но левая сторона без направляющей катается по столу по стружке. Насколько это критично для работы станка? Даже хорошее удаление пыли и стружки не сможет полностью это предотвратить.
@@CyberFighter86 The previous machine to this one, the LR3 was this same way as well. With MANY of these machines out in the world running no one has seen any problems with the chips getting under that side. It would take a huge amount to cause any problems. Just the few chips you see in this video wont change the height of the cut enough for you to even notice. This has come up a few times on the V1 forum ( forum.v1e.com ) and the Designer, Ryan can explain it way better than I can.
That looks very promising! Is there any further information about the official release? I'm already planning to build a V3. Looking at the first impressions here, I'd rather wait a moment
We are now in the second stage of beta testing. I just completed my build and will be running it very soon. Its taking a little longer than we hoped but making really good progress! Will be worth the wait for sure!!!
Awesome, JJ! Do you have a link to an stl file for the orange coupler? I'm assuming it goes from the 2.5" clear vacuum tube to the DC for the LR4? TY!
Love it!
@@design8studio thank you!
What type of screws are those, with the extra wide flats, that you’re using for edge hold-downs?

Слева нет направляющей. Каретка катается по столу по стружке. Это никак не влияет на работу станка?

@@NorthWoodsCustomCreations Thanks for your feedback! Then I'd rather wait for the updated version. I'm already looking forward to new features.
@@andrem5675 Good deal! Hopefully it wont be too much longer but too soon to know for sure unfortunately
