You say “all we need are..”but you don’t speak for everyone. In fact, based on consumer data, you speak for a small group. A simple “practical “ truck would not be all many need, though that’s perfect for some. Speak for yourself not the planet’s population
@@murlyn2thanks for saying that. I live with the times and i like all extras when i buy vehicles i dont buy base models unless theres a great deal i opt for the more expensive models. I figure if im gonna drive it and be stuck with it i dont want a boring vehicle. I dont beat my trucks either. I get them professionally under coated and detailed. And keep up with all the maintenance schedules.
I'd get the v6 personal, no turbo 4 from kia ! It's a good looking truck if it comes out looking like this I might look into one . Kia has stepped up alot in quality in the past few years and honestly from what I've seen one of the few companies that if their cars have an issue they actually fix it or replace it ...most other places give you a hard time for every little thing
I own 3 Kias. A 2020 Cadenza 3.3 V6, 2020 Optima 4 cylinder and a 2011 Sorento 4 cylinder. Have not had any serious issues out of them, just the routine maintenance stuff. My Sorento is a daily driver with 415xxx miles on the original engine and transmission and still purring like a kitten.
My 2013 Ram engine crapped at 180k. A new replacement engine crapped out at 22k. Stellantis warrantied it by dropping in a rebuild 2 months later. Plus I still had to pay around $1K misc. Last dodge/ram I'll buy.
I had a 2007 Kia Optima that I sold with 210,000 miles on it for $500.00. I kept the recommended maintenance on the car and I no issues. I only sold it because I wanted an upgrade on technology.
Had an Accent that had over 400000km when I traded it, pretty much all I put into it was gas, oil & brakes. Only other thing I had to fix on it was the 5th/reverse lockout broke, so ended up having no high gear or reverse. Reverse was fine, just park where you don't need to reverse. Not having 5th on the highway was annoying. Currently have a 2015 Sorrento, and has been the same, gas, oil, brakes.
I traded in a GMC Denali due to all the valve issues with their V8s which will leave you high and dry on the side of the road. Bought a Kia Stinger with twin turbos for $50k. Best move I ever made. I will definitely purchase this truck with the v6 twin turbo and take my Stinger to Florida at our second home. Hard to beat the value you get from a Kia.
I've had a 2005 4wd Kia Sorento V6 SUV since new. A ladder frame chasis makes it tough. The 2H, 4H, 4L manual transmission takes it almost anywhere. Off-road suspension upgrades and legal lift makes it robust yet comfortable. Diff breathers and a snorkel keeps it dry and dust-free. A nudge bar holds the spotlights for night driving and UHF aerial for coms. The roof rack holds off-road recovery gear and a 270° awning. There's a 2ndry Lithium "house" battery (with inverter) hooked up via a DC-DC charger in the back. A quarter of a million kms later and it's still going strong. Its amazing! Kia servicing and support has been fantastic - their techs and mechanics tell me they enjoy working on a purpose-specific vehicle like this. I am interested in this new 2025 ute offering from Kia. There have been rumours and now the promotion has started. I am curious about things like ground clearance, suspension capability, fuel tank size and/or overlanding range. What are the wheel sizes and tyre options available? What diff lockers are available? What is the GVM and the load capacity? Are there 12v outlets in the rear tray? What is the offially rated roof weight limit - including the roof racks? That will do for starters.
My Hyundai Santa Fe (sister company to Kia) has been the best vehicle I've ever had. 180K miles and going strong. Nearly no repairs and little in the way of scheduled maintenance. If this is anything like that it will be a winner if the price is right.
Australian conditions will definitely sort them out, however I strongly suspect that KIA have already spent a lot of time with prototypes here in Australia testing them to the death so don’t be surprised if they are a massive hit here.
If capable and reliable + priced well these will be a sure hit in aus. Prepare to see sooo many of these get highly modified too lol Alot of people have been looking for alternatives to rangers and hiluxes, aside from the dmax there isnt alot out there

I don’t know how many times I’ve adjusted the HVAC controls when I wanted to turn up the radio. This is my 6th new Kia and I’ve been happy with them.

That's a beautiful truck. Just wish the interior was simpler ... Well, all that electronic stuff. But for so many people, these days, if it doesn't have that, it's a deal breaker. Id love to give it a go in the Canadian back country.

My Tacoma was awesome l, got a tundra ugh regretted it. Was just look to get back to small mid size truck. Instantly drawn to this! My daily car is a kia and it's been great probably match it up well as the set. Also most new trucks are supper pricey now a days from what they were! Payed 27k for Tacoma and 35 k for tundra new! KIA are pretty reliable bro and they have long warranty. But when warranty up get rid of it. I hope Kia fixed the engine oil consumption problems. Kia needs to use good piston and rings this time.
