Honestly, as an ex xanax addict, I really feel like she was on xanax and drunk. I know she has struggled with xanax in the past, and i have seen many, many people act this way when mixing the two. Ive definitely made an ass of myself before on that combo. This is just me speculating but ive seen her on xanax filmed too and yeah it just.... seems like she really needs help. The only time I've seen her not act a mess and actually sound like a put-together person was when she was doing that 70 days sober thing. We all know shes problematic regardless but I still do sympathize with addiction and it hits close to home. Of course this is just my speculation, but if she was mixing the two, that is also extremely dangerous and potentially deadly. I hope she acknowledges this and that she needs help, or if shes going to use ANY substances, to not make it other people's problems. Sad to see & hella cringey.
FULLY AGREE. I used to drink a pint of gin every few days & take 50 Xanax within 2 weeks & this is exactly how I acted. Ive been sober for a year and the difference is night & day. Of course I don't remember how I acted but looking back at videos of myself and when my friends tell me stories of the years I was like that it was so much like this. It'd make sense why she's not only drunk but has no sense of embarrassment or like, humility? We all loosen up when drunk but Xanax and alcohol together completely removes any sense of shame. There's no sobering up from it either, when people hit somebody in a DUI on alcohol they often sober up really quick at the weight of it all. As I'm sure you know Xanax doesn't work that way and IF that is what she's on (I feel bad speculating) & she's been on them it makes sense why she didn't have the presence of mind to see this as a bad idea. I have literally fully pissed myself in a room full of people and felt no shame on those two together.
I think it’s really important to remember that to my knowledge she’s coming off of a sobriety break off and on for a bit now, which really effects your tolerance. She’s likely drinking as much as she used to not knowing that her limits have changed. While it doesn’t excuse her behavior, I do think it’s something to note and something people aren’t realizing. It seems like she might be coming to a hard realization that her body can’t tolerate the amounts it used to. Mixing that with Xanax too, which she says she’s prescribed now and used to be addicted to, can also have major effects 🫤 I think she actually needs help right now and no one can make that decision but her

Jeff did exactly that... many times. You can literally hear him say it loudly, speak quietly, and get upset with her all throughout the show (and even in some of these timestamps.) He was a really good friend to her in this regard. That's the issue with humans and addiction - no one but herself can keep her in check, control, stop, or fix her behavior.

I commented on DWKT’s pod about this too, this is pure speculation but I think she might have combined alcohol with something else. My guess is a benzodiazepine like Xanax or Klonopin. Even if you have a high tolerance to both separately, in low doses together it can cause you to black out and in high doses it can be lethal. I once took Xanax for a panic attack (0.25 mg, the lowest dose) and didn’t space out drinking correctly. I blacked out after 3 drinks but there are videos of me slurring in a very similar speech pattern. It also completely removed my social filter. Again, this is 100% speculation. All I know is I sounded very similar and regardless of what Tana did/didn’t ingest, never EVER mix benzos with alcohol. It can be extremely dangerous.

@@zobizobizobi I’m ok! I am prescribed Xanax for panic attacks/flying but I only take it if I really really need it because tbh benzos scare me. It was a really low dose and I knew they interacted badly, I just didn’t know how long Xanax worked for and it was still in my system when I started drinking. Lesson learned, hopefully others can learn for my mistake ❤️ Edited to add: I’m also a CPhT now starting a PharmD and yeah. Any combo of benzodiazepines/hypnotics/opiates/alcohol should be avoided at all costs. Only take benzos/hypnotics and opiates together if ok’d by your doctor and never mix alcohol with either. It’s incredibly dangerous

Honestly, as an ex xanax addict, I really feel like she was on xanax and drunk. I know she has struggled with xanax in the past, and i have seen many, many people act this way when mixing the two. Ive definitely made an ass of myself before on that combo. This is just me speculating but ive seen her on xanax filmed too and yeah it just.... seems like she really needs help. The only time I've seen her not act a mess and actually sound like a put-together person was when she was doing that 70 days sober thing. We all know shes problematic regardless but I still do sympathize with addiction and it hits close to home. Of course this is just my speculation, but if she was mixing the two, that is also extremely dangerous and potentially deadly. I hope she acknowledges this and that she needs help, or if shes going to use ANY substances, to not make it other people's problems. Sad to see & hella cringey.

FULLY AGREE. I used to drink a pint of gin every few days & take 50 Xanax within 2 weeks & this is exactly how I acted. Ive been sober for a year and the difference is night & day. Of course I don't remember how I acted but looking back at videos of myself and when my friends tell me stories of the years I was like that it was so much like this. It'd make sense why she's not only drunk but has no sense of embarrassment or like, humility? We all loosen up when drunk but Xanax and alcohol together completely removes any sense of shame. There's no sobering up from it either, when people hit somebody in a DUI on alcohol they often sober up really quick at the weight of it all. As I'm sure you know Xanax doesn't work that way and IF that is what she's on (I feel bad speculating) & she's been on them it makes sense why she didn't have the presence of mind to see this as a bad idea. I have literally fully pissed myself in a room full of people and felt no shame on those two together.

I think it’s really important to remember that to my knowledge she’s coming off of a sobriety break off and on for a bit now, which really effects your tolerance. She’s likely drinking as much as she used to not knowing that her limits have changed.
While it doesn’t excuse her behavior, I do think it’s something to note and something people aren’t realizing. It seems like she might be coming to a hard realization that her body can’t tolerate the amounts it used to. Mixing that with Xanax too, which she says she’s prescribed now and used to be addicted to, can also have major effects 🫤

Jeff did exactly that... many times. You can literally hear him say it loudly, speak quietly, and get upset with her all throughout the show (and even in some of these timestamps.) He was a really good friend to her in this regard.

I commented on DWKT’s pod about this too, this is pure speculation but I think she might have combined alcohol with something else. My guess is a benzodiazepine like Xanax or Klonopin. Even if you have a high tolerance to both separately, in low doses together it can cause you to black out and in high doses it can be lethal. I once took Xanax for a panic attack (0.25 mg, the lowest dose) and didn’t space out drinking correctly. I blacked out after 3 drinks but there are videos of me slurring in a very similar speech pattern. It also completely removed my social filter. Again, this is 100% speculation. All I know is I sounded very similar and regardless of what Tana did/didn’t ingest, never EVER mix benzos with alcohol. It can be extremely dangerous.

@@zobizobizobi I’m ok! I am prescribed Xanax for panic attacks/flying but I only take it if I really really need it because tbh benzos scare me. It was a really low dose and I knew they interacted badly, I just didn’t know how long Xanax worked for and it was still in my system when I started drinking. Lesson learned, hopefully others can learn for my mistake ❤️
Edited to add: I’m also a CPhT now starting a PharmD and yeah. Any combo of benzodiazepines/hypnotics/opiates/alcohol should be avoided at all costs. Only take benzos/hypnotics and opiates together if ok’d by your doctor and never mix alcohol with either. It’s incredibly dangerous
