One of the first soundtracks I owned, loved the movie and the music. The movie hasn’t held up well as I got older but the music…man, Elvis was in fine voice. The album was already out of print when I started collecting. I worked weeding for a local and saved up enough to buy a used mono copy from Paul Lichter’s Unique record club…in 1973…for $20.00. That’s $142.00 adjusted for inflation. Didn’t even have the photo!

Great collection with all the bonus photos 😀 Unfortunately we didnt get the bonus photos with the original UK releases....which didn't make a lot of sence to me ... I have a lot of original US 🇺🇸 releases....but none with bonus photos 🙄! They are all incredible to me ...wish i had them ! Im not sure Parker 🤡 always had a 50/ 50 split with Elvis ? It brings back memories of riding my bicycle several miles to look at his, and only his records! Been a fan since I saw him in 1962-3 while watching Gun In Acapulco at the old Texas Theater in Hillsboro TX! Was all of 5 yrs old! Thank You Very Much for all you do to keep his memory alive! Don’t know how long he will be remembered, but one heck of a ride! Now as far as Col Parker taking advantage of Elvis, very little doubt he did! Now having said that, That’s on Elvis! No one else.

What a beautiful group of albums and photos, I’m missing the 3 or 4 earliest ones. Robert is one of the guys to buy those from to ensure you’re getting the real deal. The King Creole is especially prone to counterfeiting. Two I didn’t see are the 2 sided one from Elvis Country and the postcard that came in the ‘71 Christmas Album. The Elvis Country is the sentimental favorite for me. Saved up to buy that album and picked it up in the store new in 1972. Mine has a small pin hole that I ran a thread through so I could dangle it from the ceiling so could see both sides LOL. When I was a young guy, again around 1972, I was in the local record shop in my grandmothers town in upstate New York. I didn’t have enough money to buy a record but I spied the 2 photos that came with LSP-6020 propped up on a shelf behind the counter. I asked him if they were for sale and he said no. I walked around a bit and he talked to his boss and he said “you know, they’re not for sale but I can let you have one for free”. Nice gesture, I still have that photo. I’m ready for spring already, freezing up here in New York too!
Great video buddy, you have a fine collection indeed! Have to agree that the F&J one is a bit of a stinker, and questionable that it should even be called a photo at all, although I guess it's a photo of a painting at a push!
Great records and bonus photos Mark. I still miss King Creole, but have the Speedway on both White Top and Orange with bonus photo. You seem to miss Kissin' Cousins (black & white photo), Elvis Country (postcard), Elvis Singles The Wonderful World Of Christmas (postcard) and Separate Ways (postcard). Great to hear you are doing fine with your new job. 2024 for me also was a very difficult year with the wife being chronically ill. We all will have to adapt. Wish you all the best.

I wasn't aware that 2024 was so bad for you, but good to hear you are in a better job situation and I hope it continues to be a good new year for you. I started my Elvis year off with a bang - got a huge haul of Elvis memorabilia on Market Place for a very small price! Today I had a mini birthday celebration with other Elvis fans in a local cafe which was fun. You are right about the bonus photos that came with the LPs back in the day. I have most of those, and used to pull them out and keep them with other pictures, thinking it would be nice to frame them one day, but never did, so I ended up putting them back with their LPs. You didn't mention some of the posters that were given away with LPs - my favourite is the painting that came with the Moody Blue album...or was there another album called Elvis Blue...anyway, they are all excellent! I've got them all now except the mythical and often faked Gold Record 4 photo and the rare baseball sized card associated with LPM-1254. Some others you didn't cover are the Golden Records Vol 3 photo folio, Kissin Cousins photo, Girl Happy Julie Kelly poster, the Frankie and Johnny Julie Kelly painting, the Elvis Country card, 1971 Christmas album card, and the final one in his lifetime Separate Ways card. Do you still need all those or did you just select a few to keep the video shorter?
Your albums look really nice Mark, (and some lovely inner sleeves too). I would choose 'Burning Love', (1st) 'Flaming Star' and 'Clambake', (such a nice thought by RCA / The Colonel, given that Elvis & Priscilla had recently married). I bought a US copy of Gold Records Vol 3 a couple of years back, but sadly it didn't include the bonus photo album. I have seen them complete, but the dealers are usually asking a lot of money.

He took elvis away from his roots and and destroyed the originalty and the actuality about the true elvis and turned elvis into something elvis wasn't that took a toll on elvis being something he wasn't elvis will always be at his best in th 50s and early 60s that's when he was in touch with his true self and all his real Charisma and talents was at its bast elvis did great things all through his career but always be at his very best in the early stages of his life and career he if he had a better manager in his corner elvis would have been happier lived longer and all his great potential as a vocalist and actor would have always been utilized correctly elvis should have got rid of him in the early 60s
The bonus photo for the Burning Love album is a fantastic photo and would have made a fine album cover.
