The xwife was still trying to make a buck. Also after Lisa's book came out I can't believe she'd show her face. The world is starting to see how much she has lied about Elvis. The program was ok, but having been a fan since 1956 when I was 12 I have seen ever possible thing on Elvis. They kind of left out those glorious Vegas years when he was so goid and broke all attendance records. But nobody quite shows it all. Thanks for your reaction. Be Blessed

I've got the green one too. I've got almost everything on Memphis Mansion (that I'm aware of). I've been very pleased to what I've listened to so far. I'm surprised I haven't gotten more albums with the seams that are stressed or a little split. I've got a couple FTDs like that also. One of the hazards of buying overseas. I'm a sucker for the Memphis Mansion, MRS and VPI/Culture Factory releases...they all do a nice job.

ELVIS IN I A, also in London ...Everbody wants to bring HIM back,but since they know it s impossible, so, they tried to revive HIS image on stage. It seems,like.we never have enough of ELVIS,,,we just .can t let HIM go...HE s just as popular after HIS death , then when HE was alive,,,,He owned us,his fans when HE was alive, and HE still ownes us after His gone..That s what we call ****POWER*****....LONG LIVE THE KING****

I watched it again tonite and they changed the end to 1141 concerts after the 68 special....too much Priscilla....but i liked it ..... 3/5 for me....

My 3 picks would be… Elvis In Demand, a UK compilation from 1977 The Sun Collection (life changing!) And a CD box set called 20 Original Albums which changed from a fan into a serious Elvis collector.

That one with maroon colored background is nearly the same shot as the Christmas album that is at Target or Walmart right now.

Thank you for making me aware of this, I watched it because of your video. I thought it was very well made, I didn't think there was too much of Priscilla, but like all of the 'official' bios made by Elvis' Estate, it doesn't show anything negative about Elvis himself. Personally I think the info in this documentary was already covered in 'The Searcher', and if anybody asked me, I'd tell them to watch that instead. I'd love to see someone do an 'unauthorized' bio regarding 1973 to 1977. Not just to tell us about all the bad things going on with his health, drugs, etc, but to also show us some of the excellent performances during this period.

Thank you for sharing. I say that Hawaii footage is the november 1957 one indeed, not 61's. And all the Elvis's voice overs are him as far as I know. I could hear some of his 56 'The truth about me', some of a 62 California interview (when he is talking about wanting a family in the future) and some parts of his 72 interview with the directors or crew of EOT (when talking about movies and his feelings) apart from the audio extract from the MSG press conference of course. I agree on Priscilla's part, not gonna lie it was most of the downside for me, and on inacuracies being displayed. I enjoyed quality of old footage though, Billy Corgan's passion and shared the O'Brien's thought of people having more empathy for him. Thanks again ⚡

Hi Mark, I watched the 'Return Of the King' Documentary last night. I really enjoyed it. I thought Elvis was treated with respect. I guess the most interesting aspect for me was that...(as an Elvis 'super fan'),.. I've seen the 68 Comback film maybe 100 times now over the years...BUT, last night, I got a fresh new vision of Elvis' brilliance and sheer artistry! For the FIRST TIME in years, I saw Elvis' hunger and 'killer instinct' from the 50's, present in his performance in the sit-down show, and in his leathers, and ...in his guitar playing!!! I had a vision of "the tigerman" again, on that stage!! 👊💥

I agree as far as Priscilla it should have ALL About Elvis and only him ❤❤

I really enjoyed this documentary a 100 % I LOVED IT !! and when you hear Elvis speaking about his movies ? and that he was bored with it ? that is really Elvis Mark, i know this, because , this is seen and heard in other documentary´s about Elvis, and you can hear this is really Elvis talking and not an actor. What we’re seeing since the movie in 2022 is Elvis being repackaged and resold to a new audience. Older fans have more/less read everything and seen everything by now. What we haven’t seen is a forensic analysis of the years 1970 to 1977, which is often glossed over in these docs.

Great review Mark 👏 I agree with most or all that you have said here ! I Completely agree on Priscilla...she did not need to be in this show at all ! But Priscilla was also one of the producers ! Unfortunately I'm not her greatest fan either in recent years 😕 All in all it's a great show .....and I really hope the general public get to watch and embrace Elvis in the incredible time period of his career... I watched it twice so far I loved it his guitar playing I love also but could do with out Pricilla two I do love the movies also no one sings old Macdonald had a farm like him he might not have been His favorite but he always no matter what gave everything he had done his best I for one am thankful for the movies yes I wish he had been given better scripts but oh he had over 1000. Concerts thanks

With Jerry & Priscilla as producers/executive producers I don't know why they didn't do their due diligence and check the content for inaccurate information. Those were glaring errors. You didn't see those kind of mistakes in the Reinventing Elvis documentary, which I think was much more informative. I'm glad it showed him in a positive light for newcomers and hopefully it will entice them to research more. I wish Netflix would now show the '68 Special in its entirety.

I heard Priscilla is producer of this documentary, so i am not surprised that she's in it and that is why I didn't watch it yet. I'm not even sure if I want to see it or I will and just skipp the parts when she's talking

Yes, that was Elvis's voice. They were using sound bites from the interview He did during the Elvis on Tour Movie.

I enjoyed, lots of mistakes, some great editing and some rare clips too. More positive than negative though and yes agree let’s concentrate on Elvis and less Priscilla
