We're the same age Rob, I just turned 65 last month. My body feels 65, but my brain feels 30!!

It's scary how fast life goes by, isn't it. It's like I've lived a few different lives as I look back.
You sure are lucky smelling that propane leak before anything bad came of it.
My suv died, so I'm looking for a big full-size suv that I can tow a small camper with for now. Journey is crazy in the car so he needs to be in a cage and covered or he loses his poor mind barking at anything that comes near us.... like cars going the opposite way or poor little old ladies checking their mailboxes. It's like he's the friendliest dog there is, but then he turns into Cujo in the truck .
I'm still taking care of my mom. She can't travel or I'd take her with me out there.
Keep up the great content, my friend. You are keeping my desire to get out there peaked. Have a great winter.... was 15 degrees and blowing 25mph this morning ... lets just say it's COLD.🥶🤣
BTW your beard is a good look my friend. You look good in it.

Hi Rob. Thanks for the glorious sky look in the Q. It's one of my most appreciated items about the area. The sunsets and sunrise can be priceless. Rob I wouldn't give the big head comment a second thought. My wife asks me that question everyday...ha. 😅. I still own the remote and she hasn't mastered it yet, so who is winning now.😂

Dinner was yummy. I brought home about 2/3 of mine and will reheat it or make soup today. Thinking soup is good because it's windy and cold outside 🥶

I like it when a favorite family run restaurant moves to a larger place. It usually means that they are really good and worth the extra move.

We've got strong winds in Southern California! Los Angeles County has lots of fires! My area has been notified that electricity may be cut off to help reduce fires dues to downed electrical lines from the wind!!

I agree-time really does fly! It’s amazing to think it’s been nearly 30 years since the Cowboys won their last Super Bowl in 1996, and they just keep chasing that next championship. I still remember exactly where I was when they beat the Steelers. Moments like that stick with you, but it’s wild how quickly the years go by!

Yes to your question: Overfilling a propane tank can lead to increased pressure inside the tank, which may cause the relief valve to open and leak propane. This is a safety feature designed to prevent dangerous overpressure but should be avoided.

Thanks for the great tip on Gracias. We will try to make that a stop on our next trip. Sometimes my TV has too good of a picture, especially when it comes to Mexican food dishes.😅. It looked soooo goood.

I hope it wasn't simply the rubber inside of the valve! I made that mistake and replaced the whole valve when it was simply just the rubber inside of the valve

Those campers/trailers/Rvs are your homes. It boggles my mind that people think it's ok to just stop by without reaching out 1st. Seeing you out at the store or gas station is 1 thing, but your home -- absolutely not.

You got that right...I would never put a bad tank in a trade section...what if for some reason it started to leak and someone was smoking 🚬 💥 glad you always do the right thing with your equipment. You know anyway the importance from when you were a Paramedic

My old and wise propane guy told me the reason I see burn down rigs beside the road is because they overfilled the tanks, past 80%. The next time I went in I got a younger and not so wise person that filled my tanks. When I checked them I realized they were maxed out at 100%. So I called and explained my issue and the young guy said that it was impossible to overfill them because of the way the equipment is set up. So why did the older and wise guy mention that they can be overfilled. So I let off some of the excess on my own because I was camping in the RV and I didn't want any issues. That's why there is a relief valve but it takes days for it to bleed off. I have had the screw on plastic connectors leak on me although they were brand new. I understand they are supposed to melt away if they catch fire. But I always have problems and I switch them out to solid brass connectors on my own. If they're leaking when they're new that's going to cause a fire in my opinion. I hope this helps your viewers, we all want to be safe, since propane is one of the highest reasons for fire as we all know. Good luck to everybody and safe travels 🙏

@@Dottietravels that might have been all it is, I filled up once and the kids left the bleeder valve open. I had to pull over and shut it off myself. So now I always double-check anybody.👍

There is nothing wrong with your tank. It is doing what it’s supposed to do. It is a pressure relief valve. Your tank was probably filled when the ambient temperature was colder than it is at this time. When the temperature warms up if you have not used any of the propane out of the tank the propane will expand and pressure will increase. Your pressure relief valve simply vents the excess pressure once it’s stabilized it will stop. If you hook it to some type of device like a barbecue grill and burn off some of the propane it will stop.

I'm sure that one of your first thoughts was "Why me?" I know I would be cautious of people smoking at the stop lights. Probably safe though.

“Rob, Apple keeps tweaking the camera settings! Now, in video mode, you have to hold your finger on the screen until a box pops up. Once it does, you’ll see a little sun icon next to it. That’s how you can manually adjust the exposure. They’ve changed this feature a few times, so it might take a second to get used to.”

I really wanted to join all ya’ll at the meet up but sadly my wife has a j.o.b. and will be working the Tampa RV show, hopefully for the last time. I plan to be out in the big Q this fall, I really hope she will be joining me. For a guy that has been married 42 years that means I’ll have to get her permission ; )

Hi Rob, I'm looking at a 28' either travel trailer or 5th wheel. I have heard that 5th wheels are easier to tow. In your opinion is this true. The biggest vehicle I've ever driven was a uhaul box truck, which was very uncomfortable to drive.
